Thanks, Kent! I've been working really hard at this, and applying these Atkins principles as if my life depended upon it.

    And it does!

350-- Well, since I said I ate under 10 carbs per day, I realized I'm not getting enough vegetables in my diet! All the protein in the world isn't going to give me veggies, so I have added the two cups of salad veg a day and a serving of spinach in my eggs, or a side serving of broccoli, stir fry, etc. Even with the veggies, I'm not even close to 20 per day. I don't eat much cheese, never any salad dressings or anything, and eggs, beef, and other meats are essentially 0-.5 carbs per serving so long as they're not processed. I'm really strict, but I still enjoy what I'm eating. Especially chicken stir fry! That's been my new fav!

As for skin droop-doop, that's a definite happening. But, as 2big says, don't worry about the droopy skin. Worry about what was in it initially! I said 'buh bye' to 72 pounds of flabola, and I'm going to deal with the skin droop after all the weight is off. People who have weight loss surgery deal with this same kind of thing, so it's not just us.

I used to use skin droop as an excuse to not start dieting, but that was me just looking for reasons to be fat. I have a long way to go, but I'm doing this diet the right way, and nothing is going to stop me now.

It won't stop you, either! Believe in yourself, take it a day at a time, follow the Atkins way, and ask a lot of questions.

We're here for you, and are very glad you've come to us!

Morning!!! I just had to re-edit my title because I'm 81 pounds down for 5 months! I'd love to see 100 by 6! We'll see!

If I hadn't cheated over the holidays I've no doubt I'd be there.

justinjen! I think you'll do marvellously! Of course, you're a thinny minnie compared to me, so while you'll lose a lot initially the important thing is that you are following a way of eating that will bring you to your final weight goal when you stick with it!

As for what I eat, I am a creature of very boring boredy boredom habit, so I usually eat 2.5 eggs for breakfast, scrambled with 1 cherry tomato, some spinach, a little onion and a smidge of green pepper, and topped with pepperjack cheese. For the lunch it is the same thing (I make the whole omelette at breakfast and eat the rest at lunch). For dinner, I might have 2 bacon cheeseburgers with lettuce and tomato to complete my veg for the day.

I exercise 5 out of 7 days a week, though, and that's very important!

Best wishes to you and keep me posted on your progress! I plan to hit goal this year by December 31! Let's do it!

karina!!! Hey! I've seen a few of your posts around, but no current sign of you until now. It's nice to meet you! Thanks so much for the positive vibes! If you need support, you've got it here! I am really busting my tuckus to get this weight off by December of this year and am so sure that Atkins will only ever be the way for me. I really have had such an easy time of Atkins this time, but I think that's artially because of exercise and accountability to the people here at ADBB. I want us all to succeed, and I'm part of the team, so I don't want to let anyone down. Be a part of the team, too! We're doing this for ourselves, but we're also doing this for Dr A!

That is wonderful news Ms. Cleo!!!! You are my hero girl!

They holidays left most everyone off their course a little. Do you ever have dreams that you are cheating? I just woke up and was having a dream that I was eating, of all things, egg custard! Well, at least it was EGG and not CHOCOLATE!

By the way, love the new purple hair!

Slim, you're losing weight quickly! Look at you! You'll be to goal in no time, especially with all those foodenanny winter events behind us!

And about the dreaming of food... YES! LOL on your egg custard nightmare of deliciousness! I woke up in a panic about having had eaten pizza and it seemed so real! Isn't it strange how things manifest themselves in dreams? I freaked for a day worried I might show a weight gain from my brain telling my dream it had pizza. Evil brain!

You like the purple hair? Speaking of dreams, I had a dream that I went to the hairdresser (me? As if!) and he cut off all of my hair and dyed it blue! I remember in the dream that I was so mad about him not donating the long hair to an org that donates hair to wigs for kids! *lol* Umm, hello, dream cleochatra. Blue hair didn't bother you?

Anyway keep up the great work....and thanks once again....

THAT IS SOOOOOOOO AWESOME! I am only 1.5 weeks into Atkins at this point, my fiance and I wondered if we continued on the induction phase longer if we would have better results, I guess you are proof that it could happen!

                          Thanx!

                              Hey there, cuties!

karina-- I hear you! I probably won't be able to walk tonight until 9 or 10pm! At least we sleep better though, right? *lol* I'm so proud of you for sticking with it!!!!! I'm doing my jubilation dance of happiness! -----> :joy

Hi, mkburchett! Nice to meet you! I love your black and white photo! Totally, you're right on! Stay on induction as long as you are losing weight, have more than 35 pounds to lose, and are not feeling deprived after the initial 2 weeks. I plan to stay on induction for at least 6 more months, and the Atkins Diet Revolution book (2002) says that's a-ok! I really prefer induction. My blood sugar is stable, I feel very energetic, and the food choice limitations keep me honest! Also, it's nice to only have to count to 20. :joy Hi to your fiance, and congratulations to both of you!!!

Hey classy! I've been watching you around the board! I love your picture, girl! And 17 days cheat-free? WOOT WOOT!

I'm a goofball when it comes to eating, so you'll see I eat the same thing almost every day. I'm a creature of habit.

Breakfast and lunch is shared from the same 5-egg omelette, made with 1/2 cup frozen spinach, 2 cherry tomatoes, diced, 4 Tbsp chopped onion and 1/4 cup green chopped peppers.

Dinner is usually maybe 2 Wendy's jr bacon cheeseburgers for 99 cents each with a little mayo, maybe a taco salad, sometimes fried pepperoni topped with a slice of provolone and green olives.

I'm uber-careful to measure and count the carbs, and I drink 100+ ounces of water a day and take supplements in addition to exercising 5-7 days per week.

If you follow the plan, you won't go wrong.

I have been stuck at my weight for 2 weeks, but even though that can be frustrating, I lost an inch and am down another 1/2 a dress size, so the scale is a big phooey-on-you thing for me some of the time!

I totally thank my friends here at ha for the support I get, whether from reading and becoming more knowledgable, or getting to know you better. This is such a friendly and accepting place! The world needs more places like this one!!!
