    Hello, this is my first day (a restart) , I'd like to join in with you guys, to give each other support. I know the first few days are hard, I'm already suffering from a caffine headache. ugg

      Hi Arielle! Great to have you here. The first few days are tough but you CAN do it!! It is Day 2 for me and I know what helps me to keep going is to visit this board frequently for all the support and advice. I am sure your headache will disappear soon. Let me know how tomorrow goes for you. Do you exercise?

        Hi, girls! I'm so happy you all doing well. Unfortunately I feel dizzy today (it's my Day4).

        Did you measure yourselves before Induction? I decided to weight myself on Day7 too and I'll post the results to you.

        Godsbeloved79, I have to make comment on you menu. I've found on www.atkins.com website that geen beans are not allowed on Induction. Elizellen posted a great link about what foods can be eaten on Induction. Thanks to you, Elizellen!

        This is my today's menu:

        BREAKFAST:

        Bacon And Onion Omelette (Net Carb 6.8g)
        1 tbs butter (Net Carb 0.1g)
        2 rashers of bacon (Net Carb 0.1g)
        1 ts chopped onion (Net Carb 2g)
        2 eggs (Net Carb 1.2g)
        1 ts double cream (Net Carb 0.2g)
        Salt, ground black pepper
        1 tomato (Net Carb 3.2g)

        LUNCH:

        Devilled – salmon Eggs (Net Carb 2.3g)
        2 boiled eggs (Net Carb 1.2g)
        1 tbs Hellman’s mayonnaise (Net Carb 0.1g)
        30g smoked salmon (Net Carb 0g)
        1/2 tbs lemon juice (Net Carb 0.6g)
        Salt, Dijon mustard, ground black pepper (Net Carb 0.2g)
        1 small handful of iceberg lettuce (Net Carb 0.2g)

        Slice the eggs in half lengthways and remove the yolks. Mash the yolks and mayonnaise together until smooth, then add all the remaining ingredients, except for the lettuce, and mix well. Spoon the mixture into eggs whites.

        DINNER:

        Tuna And Avocado Salad (Net Carb 4.8g)
        180g tuna, tinned in brine (net Carb 0g)
        ¼ avocado (Net Carb 0.9g)
        1 stick of raw celery (Net Carb 0.8g)
        5 radishes (Net Carb 0.5g)
        1 tbs lemon juice (Net Carb 1.2g)
        1 tbs spring onions (Net Carb 1.2g)
        1ts dill
        Salt, Dijon mustard, ground black pepper (Net Carb 0.2g)
        1 tbs extra virgin olive oil (Net Carb 0g)

        Fat: 72g (64%)
        Protein: 77g (30%)
        Carbs: 17g (5%)
        Fiber: 4g
        Calories: 1025

          Good Morning Malikah!

          Happy to see that you loving this WOE and that you are hanging in there. Today is Day #5 for me and I got up out of the BED like a champ. I went to bed late and just a few hours of sleep did me wonders. I haven't started working out yet. I do work in a business office and I normally get baked chicken and veggies from the Publix next door. Or I will bring leftovers from home. I prepare breakfast at home, and I eat it at work.               Hello all,
              Starting day two for me. Still have the caffiene headache, but it's not too bad. I almost went and got a cup of decaf coffee this morning, but it just leads me back to the real stuff, so I passed on it. I haven't weighed myself since my re-start, and I'm gonna try hard not to. It's so discouraging when you don't lose, or didn't lose as much as you thought. My goal is 20 pounds by June 22nd. I dont' know if it's attainable for me. But I'm gonna try.

                Hi Everyone! Today is Day 3 and I felt less hungry than yesterday. I had a huge cheeseburger with lettuce and mayo for lunch and wasn't even hungry for dinner. I ended up eating some lettuce with cheese around 8pm. I can already tell I am in ketosis because of the decrease in my appetite...it's a great feeling that I am doing this "pill-free!!" Fat = natural appetite suppressant! :joy

                I didn't do my 5 miles today but I can't wait to do it early tomorrow morning. I aim for 50min - 1 hr on the treadmill. I ran 6.5 miles Day 1 and yesterday, 5 miles. Do you think 5 X/wk is enough for me? How much faster do you think I will lose because I am running vigourously now? I really want to rid of these much unwanted 20lbs!!! Any feedback would be great.

                How are you doing?

                  I was looking at your stats and is that correct that you have lost 17 lbs since you started...5 days ago?!!?! If so, many amazing congrats to you!!! :joy

                  How did you lose so quickly? Did you work out? How much faster do you think it would be when you work out to lose weight...is it a huge difference than not working out (lbs-wise)?

                    I'm sorry to confuse you. I actually started ATKINS in January 05. I fell off the wagon and now I'm back on Induction! I guess I need to correct my stats with the actual dates. I haven't started exercising yet! I am soon. When I first started Atkins in January I ate ONLY pure foods and drank plenty of water. I added a cup of green tea daily and I lost 22.5 pounds in 2 months. I guess our bodies are different and it's hard to say what you would lose vs what I would lose. Keep eating CLEAN and drink plenty of water. Exercise also!

                          day 3 for me, kicking the caffine is hard, I love coffee. I got some decaf this morning, with half/half and splenda, I hope that isn't cheating. Last night was hard, I got home really late, and I had already had dinner hours before, but I was hungry! That's when I run into trouble. I ended up mixing a can of chunked turkey with mayo, and ate that. Is that ok when you have already had 3 meals + snacks, and then you have something else later?

                            Well not sure about this but you are suppose to eat till you are satisfied and might be better for you to eat 4-5 smaller meals then three bigger ones! ha

                              Hi Everyone!

                              I'm new here &amp; started Atkins on Saturday - so I think I'm only a day off from you, may I join? I would love to have buddies! I have done really well sticking to my diet but am in search of new foods &amp; recipes. I have found several just browsing that sound really good! Your all doing so well! Keep up the good work!
