    Kim, well, I will be honest. I ate peanuts. That is my downfall. I got a little disgusted because I stepped on the scale and saw that 2 pounds had snuck on during sleep. I know that it is because it is that time of the month but still. I have to stay off the scales for a week so that I don't get deterred again and say "what the heck" and hit on Mr. Peanut again!!!!

    You always have to watch it when you have kids. I have 5 of them, the oldest is 25 and the youngest is 4. The youngest is always asking for things then changes her mind. I have to remind myself that I can not just eat it now so that it does not get wasted. The only thing saying me is that she does not like sweets, she is a carnavour and loves meat and veggies. I sometimes wonder if she is my child.

    I have accepted I ate the peanuts and am just going to get back on track.

      I was happy with myself for stopping at the yogurt, in the past I have use one cheat to spring board going off plan for a whole day and turning it into a full blown binge...although still being bad today I've had 2 diet cokes and no water all day....peanut butter use to be a big downfall for me...I just love the stuff right out of the jar and not the healthy all natural stuff, I like the peter pan...do you have the atkins book, mine won't be here until prob. monday and I'm wondering what the fat fast is...I need to get into full blown ketosis since that is supposed to kill my appetite and I'm afraid if I wait much longer my enemy brain is going to talk myself into carbing away the weekend....

        since you got kids use them in your exercise as the free weights and have some fun working out together. MSNICKSMOM is working out with her 2 boys and has made great advances in her upper body strength.
        CARBKICKER it isn't getting to ketosis it is staying there that is messing you up. cut the protein amount you eat and see what happens, really just lower the protein and add a bit of fat like you did yesterday with your pepperonnies except try something a little more like a healthy oil or butter mixed with your protein and veggies ands you are there. If on the day youhad a pound of turkey you had eaten 1/2 a pound even without adding any fats you would have been in the induction ratio and should have acheived appetite supression.

        you can try it out next time you eat by just having 2 ounces of cream cheese as the whole meal with some water. that should deepen your degree of ketosis and you should have appetite supression for hours afterwards.

          dang lanmaam cyber space ate your part.

          Tom can do nasty things to our craving controls and our blood sugar stability too. I really wish Dr Atkins had been female so we could have gotten at least a chapter on it in DANDR.

          hang in there they have a TOM topic somewhere with legal foods you can use for the cravings and stuff.

            Hello All. Yep TOM has caused me all kinds of issues. I am not happy with myself at all. I have to restart all over again because once I cheated, it opened up the floodgates. I am so disgusted. I was doing so well. Well, tomorrow is another day. I have planned a vacation to Jamaica in December. I will help me not to cheat. I have 2.5 months to get some of this weight off of me.

              hey there, yep I'm having to start all over again too...hopefully my book will get here in todays mail and I can walk around with it like it's a bible or something....i'm in such a funk...and getting sick on top of that...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, I seem to make it five days then fall off for two..then back on for five etc...it's got to stop.

                    If you dont have the book to check what foods are allowed you could always click on the link to the FAQs and look at the threads on induction then save a copy of the induction-allowed foods list and the rules of induction to get you started on the right track.

                        Hi there, well I'm doing really well,,,,you were def. right it's all about the fat, I upped my fat to the 60/30 ratio and I'm in good ketosis says the purple stix, my appetite is still so so though..but maybe that's just me...an eater..I am from the south and all! lol...but my book came and I'm following it to the word and I'm doing well, I'm not weighing for a week or so I was getting far too attached to the scale...amazing about the fat! it only took 2 days with my fat ratio near right that I was in ketosis! so it's been smooth sailing, not that I"m not having cravings because I kinda am, but I'm fighting them and eating butter on everything or if butter just won't go then it gets mayo on it! which I think is making the cravings manageable....yep you were def. right it's all about the fat! it's sooo weird to think that as fat as I am..I need to take in MORE!!!

                          Hey Kim!!!! How are you doing? I am now "drum roll please" 7 days cheat-free!!!!! Yeah!!!! I made it through the weekend, which was rough because I hit the 242 number and is always were I cheat but got some support here and am now past that number.

                          You sound like you are doing great!! The fat I eat is what keeps me on Atkins too. I always start my day with a couple of pieces of bacon and I am good until lunch. I made some greens with pork and have been having a cup a day to get my veggies in. I am going to try some egglant with parmesan cheese later.

                              I am in my room hiding. My girls brought home this huge cake. Cake is always my downfall. I am going to stay in my room with my porkrinds and cheese.
