    I'm having a hard time finding meats I find appetizing.

    The sliced bbq pork that they have at the Chinese restaurants, that sounds good, but it's sort of sweet. Of course it must be marinated in something sugary, right? What do you think? Anybody know?

    I'm really hungry this week, and that's not good for me at all if I'm going to stay on this. I just can't figure out what to eat. Nothing sounds good. I had to start BCP's for a month due to a medical condition, and I'm sort of nauseous. I think that has something to do with it.

    Nothing fatty sounds good. No hamburger, no sausage, bacon- maybe. I still haven't had any! I'm tired of chicken, not too fond of tuna.

    I went to the store yesterday and bought an oven roast, and some fresh shrimp. Tonight I'll have a shrimp with garlic butter dinner. I am trying so hard not to go off induction, but it's so hard.

      Maybe focus more on what the vegetarians here eat? I plan to look into that myself since I plan on going back to being a veggie.

      I wouldn't do the BBQ pork. BBQ sauce is made with sugars. So steer clear!

      I think maybe poke through Linda's website of recipes and the food forums, see if anything sounds good? I think my one key to sticking to this has been not doing just "basic meat, basic veggie, basic egg" etc. I get bored and sick of that VERY quickly. I myself need egg "dishes" because I'm not a big egg fan in general.

        Thanks Kristi for the measurement info. I agree I dont want to loose my boob either

        So Im getting a bit concerned that maybe Im not hitting a higher calorie quota. Im am also going to through a phase where my appetite is not as big as last week and im eating much smaller portions.

        I definately dont want that to stall my weight loss. Should I increase my fat to compensate a little?

          It wouldn't hurt. I'm finding in this second week I'm not hungry and I'm forgetting to eat, so the muffins help because they are so high in calories/fat. LOL.

            I baked the cheeseburger quiche last night for breakfast this week. I liked it pretty well, however, next time I'm going to add in some jalapenos. I think it would make it even better!

            The problem I'm having is finding the foods that don't contain sugar. Some of the recipes on Linda's website call for a lot of items that I can't find without sugar. I guess I'm going to have to find a recipe for it, and make it myself without the sugar. It's so frustrating. I'm really mad that I can't find any bacon that has no sugar. Anyone have any suggestions?

              I also think I need to really refocus this second week. Really plan my meals out for the week and get in some much needed exercise and more water!

                Amen to more exercise! I managed to squeeze out a whoppin' 25 minutes on the elliptical last night. I've gotta plan that out as well.

                  Gwaltney's has a no sugar added bacon.

                    Im with all of you on the exercise. I really need to get some in. No excuses!!!!

                    About the bacon with no sugar Yeah if anybody has any please do tell. I have gone to several grocery stores and have yet to find one with not sugar. I even tried Trader joes which I thought might have some but no. The only other place I can think of are like Whole Foods for the organic places.

                    Im still in search as well. I think I will post a question in the cooking forum and see what they say!!!

                      That really stinks, because I was about to go get some bacon.

                      someone said Gwaltney's but I've never heard of that. Store or brand or ?? Anyway... I will look around too.

                      I'm about to start experimenting with soups. The mushroom and crab soup looks so good!

                      Anybody excited that we only have 5-6 days of induction left?? (Then we get more veggies - 5 more net carbs - whoo hoo) I was peeking into the OWL forum to check out the suggestions and there is a lot of good information.

                      We also calculate our CCLL, and if anyone is confused, I found a chart. When we get to that point I can post a link.

                        Hello all, just checking in after falling of the wagon. I was doing great the beginning part of the weekend, even the cheesburger - sans bun on Saturday but then came Sunday and we went to the movies and dinner. Boy did I blow it with the popcorn and then some white rice with the chinese food. I guess it then carried over to yesterday and then today was like what the heck bring on the lemon cake. So the best plans that I had on Friday, I went to the bookstore and purchased DANDR and then came home and read several chapters, disappeared!

                        After all of that, I weighed today after work and hadn't gained anything, so maybe I should consider myself lucky.

                        Ok, so there it is... and here I am. I have packed my lunch for tomorrow and will be back on track.

                        I noticed the cravings were back today, like I had to have more of everything. Last week, no cravings and hardly hungry. So what happened, self pity I guess. I weighed myself and again noticed no weight loss since the first week. Remind me not to get on that damned, little beast box.

                            Good to see ya back Ana. Dont waste time worrying about what happened this weekend. Just start fresh again tomorrow. A good thing is to check in here everyday!!! Like Kristi said we are all here to support each other!!!

                                Good morning,

                                Has anyone else tried the "1-minute-muffin"? I just wanted to tell you, I felt like I had a bran muffin this morning! It was weighty and substantial and tasted nutty. Of course, it has 3 tablespoons of flax meal in it. I think we're only allowed one a day, but I felt it was worth it for the extra fiber to get things moving ... you know. Also, there is a little cornstarch in the baking soda, which is a carb, so someone used cream of tartar and baking soda mixture instead. (The recipe is in the snacks section, I think... ) Anyway, it was great. I ate one for breakfast, sliced into 5 slices with butter. i would totally recommend it.

                                I also loooved the crab & mushroom soup I made off of Linda's low carb site for dinner last night. Did I already say that? It was so delicious!
