    Hi MrsBrittney, I forget where I got the recipe but here are the ingredients:

    - Flax Seed Meal (ground flax), 1/4 cup
    - Baking Powder, 1/2 tsp
    - Cinnamon, ground, powder, 1 tsp or
    Cocoa; Hershey's Unsweetened, 1 tbsp
    - Splenda , 4 tsp
    - Egg, fresh, 1 large
    - Butter, 1 tbsp

    I usually have this in the morning with my coffee, so please tell me if its ok.

      I think it is? My only hesitation is the cocoa because I don't remember it being in the book - but I've seen it reccomended so many times on this board and utilized so often, I could very well be wrong! I'll say its OK until someone yells at me for saying that lol

        Thanks for checking that out for me. I have the 1978 book (i just bought it at the suppermarket and didn't know it was the older version. I think cocoa was in that book. Well I alternate between the cinnamon and the cocoa.

        Weighed myself this morning and had to laugh, the needle doesn't budge. But TOM came today, so maybe that's why.

        I haven't had time to add my stats

        250/247/165 so I don't understand if I am staying at about 20 carbs and under 1600 calories. I checked with my doc and she said no lower than 1600 calories otherwise my blood sugar could drop. But 3 lbs in 2 weeks

        I will buy the 2002 version this weekend!

          Congrats on the weight loss anyways! This is a perfect example why I do measurements, because my scale and I aren't really always honest friends, lol. Yeah, your TOM can cause your body to retain water etc and you don't see your real weight loss. I'm PMS-y this week so I'll be fairly wary about investing too much emotion into my scale readout on Saturday.

            Hey everyone I was wondering if you wouldn't mind me joining you all. I started my induction on 2/11 and I have lost 3lbs so far. I did Atkins for about a year before...but then I had some kiddos and kinda lost my way I'm really excited about it this time..I'm ready to get "me" back!

            So far this has been pretty easy for me..small cravings here and there, but nothing too bad. I am having a really hard time with not drinking coffee. I only drink one cup in the morning with a teaspoon of splenda, but I'm getting a really bad low after drinking it. I know this happens in some people and I should stop, but I really need some sort of caffine in me (I am NOT a morning person)

            Sorry to blab on and on. I hope to get to know all of you and make some great friendships

              Hi Vanessa! Welcome.

              I'm the same about coffee - not sure I could survive without. I drink it black (so I don't have to count carbs in cream). I don't drink diet sodas, though. To combat the caffeine drain on my water, I drink an extra glass of water per cup of coffee.

                Hope you all had a great hump day! Here's what I had to eat today:

                Breakfast
                6 thinly sliced deli chicken
                1 slice cheddar
                3 small size celery sticks (1 1/2 stalks)

                Lunch:
                1/4 lb burger patty
                1 slice pepperjack
                3 slices tomato
                6 pickle slices
                1 Tbsp Mayo
                1 Tspn Mustard
                2 Leaves iceberg lettuce
                1 Tbsp sliced jalapenos

                Dinner
                4 oz beef sirloin steak
                1 C. spaghetti squash
                1 oz - string cheese

                So far, I think I'm doing pretty good...anyone have any suggestions or criticisms? I'm open to both!

                  I am really really trying to get the water requirements in. I have to admit that I have never been a big fan of plain water, so this is definatley a challenge for me If only water would take out the grumpiness in the mornings...I'd be great!

                    Kristi your menu looks yummy!!!

                    I have always liked drinking water at room temp. Its hard to drink when its cold so you may want to try that. I have a 64 oz jug that I fill up the night before and leave it on my desk to drink up during the day.

                    So Im a bit ticked off at myself. I f'd up and used the canola mayo for my egg salad which I had to snack on with my pork rinds. I didnt read the ingredients carefully when I made it the night before. Well when I was having it this morning it tasted a bit sweet but I honestly didnt think there would be sugar in it. So when I got home I read it and sure enough its in there. Holy crappola. Im so pissed off at myself cuz I wanted it to be a clean induction. I had probably about 2/3 cup of it. I hope it doesnt screw with my plan!!!

                      Thank you! I am the complete opposite of you, I have to have freezing water in order for me to drink it. I don't know why, but things seem to go down better when your throat is almost frozen

                      I'm sorry about the canola mayo accident I've really really had to keep an eye on ingredients this time. I'm amazed at how many things contain sugar, that you wouldn't think of. Don't be too upset, it's not like you purposley went looking for the sugar Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't mess with your induction!

                        Thanks Vanney!!! Just in case I went for a walk with my neighbor for about a half hour. It was a nice brisk walk so I think maybe that help X out the sugar hehehe

                            Just saying goodnight to everyone and congrats on all of us making it through another day! =)

                            Using all the new recipes I'm finding, I'm shocked this is a diet. I'm not hungry and I'm not bored - lol. I'd forgotten why I liked Atkins so much!

                              I did better today. I'm still not doing it right, but today went much better. I will keep track of it and probably do an extra long induction if it seems to be interfering with the ketosis. At least I didn't have my 15 gram carb Activa yogurt! 15 grams, only 4 ounces. That's been my biggest cheat the last 3 days. Tonight I didn't have it.

                              I got some veggies at the store, and am going to try spaghetti squash! I got an eggplant, 2 heads of cauliflower, and more romaine hearts. I wanted artichoke hearts, but didn't know if the ones marinated in the oil were ok.

                              I downloaded a chart for induction that folds up in fourths and you can stick in your wallet. If anyone wants it, I can direct you to where I got it, or post it in my sig (I forgot where I got it, actually). That's what I made my shopping list from.

                              Now I have to go check my mayo. I bought 3 jars of canola mayo that my store was selling out of ... because I love it (they always clearance out what I like. why is that.) If it has sugar I'll be sad... brb..

                              Hmmm. NO sugar, zero carbs in 2 TBsp.. But, there's HONEY. Wow. I've been eating it, but considering I've cheated some every day, I'd say that trace amount of honey is the least of my worries.

                              Tonight I cut up all my cauliflower, zucchini, cucumber, boiled more eggs, and hey, if you wrap your bread loaf in a plastic grocery bag, you don't notice it anymore! Good trick.

                                Hi Ana - all the ingredients are 'legal' for induction assuming you are having constipation problems and therefore are adding the flax seed as allowed by Dr Atkins.

                                Unsweetened Cocoa powder and Cinnamon are allowed as spices, in small quantities.

                                BUT
                                4 tablespoons of flax seed is more like an OWL rung 3 addition than the 1-2 tablespoons allowed on induction, so you might be overdoing it
