    Today is the day.... My officially day to get my body back!!!!! I'm VERY excited!!!!!

    Offically Weigh in today 194.6

    My plan is to follow the Atkins diet and Use Walk Away the Pounds DVD.. its awesome I've been doing it for about a month. I plan to continue that as my exercise program for now. I'm able to do the 1 mile work out pretty good but haven't added the weighted balls yet but hoping by end of May I'll be able to add the weights.

    Mini Exercise Goal is June 1 to be up to the 2 mile work out
    Mini Weight Goal 184.6 by June 1st (not sure that's realistic but I can hope)

    Everyone lets get started!!!! YEAH

    Keep up that kind of enthusiasm and you won't need luck! The first step is the hardest, after that, it's all momentum.

      Cheryl - I think starting this thread was a great idea! We should check in every day!

      I use the WATP DVD, too! I like the idea of having the option of both the 1 mile and the 2 mile walks. I use the 1 mile when I am in a time crunch or having an especially hard day.

      My biggest problem is keeping up with my water. I'm a teacher and have a hard time drinking throughout the day.

        Whoo Hoo! I may have to join you! I started last week, went off on Sunday for a baby shower and now this week my weight has climbed 1 lb each day? I'm not sure but could be the 1/4 of cottage cheese but really if you look at my foods, the only thing is going over 20 carbs - with veggies! You can't really get fat on veggies right?

        So tomorrow I'm going to go back to my basics (worked for me before) of tuna salad for bkfst, egg salad for lunch and then a meat and veggie for dinner......

        Too bad because I love my salad at lunch! LOL

        We can do this!

          Cheri - do you have a water bottle you can keep on your desk and refill at breaks etc?

            Well, I was doing that, but I teach a class with severely and profoundly disabled students, including several with autism. I have two autistic students who are always trying to drink everyone else's drinks. I've tried to change that behavior, but it's almost impossible. I've even tried to put my bottle up on the file cabinet, but they are also climbers. Best not give them a reason to climb!

                On the water I have three little kids at home so my pants are on fire alot.. not quite the same with your situation but they want everything too... so what I have done is I am drinking bottled water at room temperature... I can chug 1 bottles in about 2-3 minutes before breakfast...lol I do this all day long when I can spare 1 minute... room temp water is easy to drink... hide them in your desk and just chug when you get a moment

                    So now what I need to know if what are you eating for breakfast... I HATE eggs.. I tried to force myself to eat a hard boiled egg... NO GO!!! So I am just having bacon... I LOVE bacon and so far its not an issue with hungry too soon. But I'm sure I'll get tired of bacon everyday..lol so what are your breakfast choices other than eggs?

                    So far today I have had

                    4 pieces of bacon
                    2 hamburger patties fried topped with cheddar cheese, mayo & onions

                    Plan on 1/2 avacodo for snack with 1 cup of salad greens/tomatoe/onions mix
                    Pork chops, 1 cup of baked asparagus with real butter, 1 cup of salad greens for dinner

                    How's that sound??? enough food? not enough? too much?

                          Good Morning! I lost too! 3 lbs of water weight! 152 to 149 this am! I'm thrilled!

                          We can do this ladies!!!

                          My menu today:
                          B-3 oz chicken w/mayo, celery and onion
                          L-small salad w/tuna
                          D-hamburgers and a veggie (probably broccoli/cauliflower mixture)
                          Lots of water

                          It is gym night also! Whoo Hooo!!!

                          Let's make it a great day!!

                            Cheryl - Do you use fitday at all? It does take time to do it, but if you have some type of plan for the day, you could input some foods and always go back and change them.

                            Your menu looks great and I love cheeseburgers with fried onions, mayo and pickles! YUM!! LOL

                            Breakfast ideas... Since I normally eat my breakfast at my desk, early riser and not hungry til later, I have egg or tuna salad, left overs from supper (like the burger, pork chops etc) Some days the Breakfast and suppers are completely turned around and I have breakfast for supper! So, my best advice (and I'm no expert), is keep it simple, have something always available, and don't worry if its not the typical breakfast.

                            Have you looked at Linda Sue's website? She has some recipes for quiches etc that can be made ahead of time and then you could have portions for breakfast a few days in a row etc..... she has some really great recipes!

                              Morning ladies,

                              I didn't weigh this morning but felt really good when I got up. I thought we were not suppose to weigh but 2 x's a week or something? Now I wish I had... No cheating yesterday but by afternoon I was craving sweets... so I exercised, had a cup of hot Green Tea and drank some more water... still had the craving but just didn't give in.

                              Yesterday my menu changed a bit but thats cause the kids were so I had to modify... I had another hamburger patty with the usual, asparagus as planned and some cherry tomatoes...not enough but I got full and busy so I guess that's the idea.

                              Today my menu plan is:

                              B - 3 pcs of bacon, cup of peppermint hot tea and 1 bottle of water (i cooked a pork chop but wasn't still hungry so I didn't eat it)
                              L - that pork chop, and veggies
                              D - no idea yet...lol
                              Snack will be 1/2 avacado and veggies

                              Good luck ladies... Keep up the good work!!!!!! I'll weigh in the morning
