    Re: Looking for some buddies.

thanks for the link! added to my fav's. I enjoy frittata's and look forward to preparing those.

LOL Can't believe after watching it cook in the pan you served it! If it were me all that would be left is a great smell through out the house and an empty frying pan!

Are you using the flax to get more fiber? I probebly will use a supliment myself

      Re: Looking for some buddies.

hello all, hope everyone had a great day, mine was good. i couldn't really get my walking in like i had wanted to because of weather, but in the morning while hubby was having a test done at our local hospital, i was able to go for a walk inside the huge lobby. made about 3 laps around. then hubby and i decided to go to the new IKEA store close to our home and we walked around for about an hour. i was however able to get my ab crunches in and my squats for my challenges. drank about 110 ozs of water. plugged my food into fitday, but was not too happy with my percentages, fat too high, protein too low, but carbs were ok. all in all very pleased with things so far. have a good night and see you tomorrow.

        Re: Looking for some buddies.

Good morning Peeps! LOL! Yah...my migraine is finally gone. Okay..it was only two days...but it sure feels longer at the time. Starting not to be hungry. Was up before the alarm today so that was nice. Mind you I have been so drained I was in bed and sleeping before 9 both nights.

billbazz...using the flax more to eat it up as it is sitting in the fridge doing nothing. It certainly will not hurt. If I am doing good with my veggies everything works as it should. That is not my site but I sure use it alot. Sometimes my food counts are different than hers when I enter it in fitday. But love having the pictures.

moniegail...I think it is so life changing that you choose not to just sit there but to use that opportunity to add some exercise to your day!!! Very inspiring! Keep up the good work.

        mistydawn....where are you??

Be a good day and drink your water!

Thanks billbazz. Good for you for exercising!!! Remember your water. It is an important part of this way of life. One sip at a time. Some is better than none and a lot is better than some. You can do it!

              Re: Looking for some buddies.

good afternoon, hope everyone is doing well. just finished a little snack(brussel sprouts) and thought i'd sit down and write a line or two. i am feeling just ok today, can't seem to get really motivated today at all. however, i'm getting ready to get a meatloaf in the oven for our dinner tonight and then go for a walk. looks like the bad weather we've been having might be clearing out for atleast a few hours. i plan on making about a 3 lb meatloaf so i can portion it out and make some dinners to freeze(adding veggies with the meat) so i will have something to take to work or when i don't want to cook, but have a meal ready.

              have a good day

Yep, I can think of nothing better to jumpstarting motivation than cooking 3 pounds of meat!

Good Afternoon, I do think the walk will do wonders for your just ok mood.

did find this message for you tho:

You should cook the meatloaf, portion it out and set it on the table.
Take a Looong walk to give the dinner time to cool!

                  Re: Looking for some buddies.

Good Afternoon! I am busy scrapbooking. Need to stop though and go have some lunch as it is 12:45 here. Not too hungry as had a ham and cheese omelet for breakfast. But know if I don't eat now I will be too hungry before supper and more likely to fail or overeat. I love to batch cook and have part meals in the freezer. They are great for when you are rushed or just don't feel like cooking. Usually it is because I don't feel like cooking. I have some stuffed peppers in there right now. Also cauliflower soup too I think. Usually I have some chili in there as well but that is always the first to go so I will have to make some again. Okay...off for some lunch...and some more water...

Today is my second day in and I would love to join your little group. I was part of a group previously and it really helped until I hit a wall and fell into the abyss. So far so good for me today.

                      Re: Looking for some buddies.

It's my second day, too and it's been a good first couple of days.

Eggs and bacon (no nitrates) for breakfast
Coffee 1 splenda tsp heavy cream

Lunch was beef stir-fry with red bell pepper and onion (no sauces)

Dinner was 2 pork chops, 2 cups lettuce and 2 tbsp parmesen dressing (1 carb per serving, no sugars)

I'll be repeating this today too. I don't think this was bad.

Hey...great to see you here Steve...welcome! Your menu looks yummy! Do be aware that the two cups of salad does not mean just lettuce. There are lots of other things you can stick in there as well.

billbazz...sounds like all your planning is going well. 3 days until you start..you sound organized enough to start early. Looking forward to it! Good job remember the water. Perhaps a chart for that as well?
