Re: ? re: caffeine and/or splenda

    >>Celestial Seasoning apple cinnamon tea (supposedly no carb>>

You should count herbal tea as 0.5 net carbs per 8 ounces. Do you think it needs Splenda?

    >>I've seen several people post that splenda packets should be counted as one carb,>>

It also says that in the book.

Liquid sucralose or any liquid sweetener is truly 0 carb. However, there's still a limit of 3 servings of any sweetener per day.

And a can of soda is more than one serving.

It doesn't take much to be at the limit ... or go over.

Yes, it does say that in the book, I've been reading it relentlessly, I promise!!! I have several pages earmarked to go back and highlight and/or type up and print out to hang up. I think I'm in the maintenance chapter now. Had to finally put the thing down and do some housework.

Yes, it is real easy to go over. I decided yesterday to start listing those in my diary too, just so I could keep track. So, the liquid splenda is 0 carb, but you still shouldn't go over 3, is that because of the potential to stimulate a sugar craving or insulin response? Yeah, I probably read that already...I'll look....
Lost 100lbs+ since May '09 with a variety of methods, calorie counting, low fat, low carb (not Atkins strict), zig zagging, etc. Would switch up diet and exercise as I stalled to reboot loss. Prior to Atkins I was about 1000cals/day, exercising fairly hard and NOT losing...so here I am to finish the job.
