It is a rather large snack but I think you could save it in the refrig for later.

I have had it as a snack, just use one egg and a bit less of the other items. This drink has never stalled me.

There are many who seemed unsure about trying this, but all of you convinced me. I'll try it tomorrow morning. Quick question, does this eggnog shake help keep you fuller longer? Just wondering. Like many others, there are times I don't have a lot of time, running out the door at 6:00AM and run home, and then back out to my second job. This seems like it would be good for a quick semi-meal if I'm hungry and in the midst of running from one place to another. Better having this instead of nothing at all. I can't wait to try it.

              i just had this yesterday!

              my recipe:
              1 egg
              1 splash torani vanilla
              1/2 C water

and today, i added 1 oz of blueberries and a pinch of xanthan gum... creamy, fruity, and delicious.

              AMAZING.

Does anyone know how many carbs if any, in the Torani SF syrup?
I read on a post a few months ago that Liquid sweeteners were 0 carb. Do not know if that applies to Torani SF syrups. Any comments?
                  Thanks.

I am thinking you definitely need a syrup or vanilla to make this drink.

Yes, you need some flavoring I just checked my Torani's and they have no carbs listed

                      Hi Desertthorn-
                      Thanks,
I am sorry, I should have said hidden/sneaky carbs.
I am wondering if maybe it is under .5c so they may not have to list it???

It seems if there is a sweetener there must be a carb hiding in there somewhere...LOL. But I like your answer

Liquid sucralose has no carbs, but remember you do need to count your servings of sweetener so as not to exceed the 3 servings max per day.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Mary, what are the ingredients in the syrup? I could search online, but I don't know what flavor you're using.

                              Hi Georgiana,
I only keep the SF Chocolate in the house.
I am a little concerned about the caramel color, if that is a “sugar”.

And there was a thread sometime ago that said if it was a liquid sweetener it had Zero carbs. I do not know if this is considered a liquid sweetener.

I called the Torani Co and I was told a serving size was 2 Tablespoons, and that there were Zero carbs. I asked if it was really 0 or if it fell under .5…and she said it is Zero. But I feel like that could be wrong.

                              From the label---

CAL, FAT, CARB, SUGAR, PROT, all = ZERO Sodium = 10mg
                              Serving size 30 ml

                              Ingredients:
                              Water,
                              Natural Flavors,
                              Caramel Color,
Sodium Benzoate and Potassium Sorbet (to preserve freshness)
                              Citric Acid
                              Xanthan Gum,
                              Sucralose (Splenda Brand),
                              Acesulfame Potassium.

                              Thanks G!

Yes, caramel color is basically sugar, so it will definitely add net carbs to the syrup.

Liquid sweeteners like liquid sucralose, liquid saccharin or liquid ace-K typically have zero carbs... but in Germany I've seen brands that have fructose added, so it's always a good idea to read the ingredients.
