    Aghh, evenings are the worst for me too, it's my big high risk time :anger .

    Prior to having major sweet desires are you in Keytosis? I find that when
    I am the desire to have a sweet attack is much less, also I tell myself
    it will take 3 days to get back to this stage so it's really not worth it. Boy it's so hard and I do feel like saying oh blow it, i really fancy that, but some how manage to pull myself out of it. I also think about the hot summer ahead and I want to be feeling good in my tiny shorts,
    nothing worse than seeing someone in shorts that are too tight!

    I hate the way carbs make me feel, I wake up feeling rough and slow in the mornings with that feeling oh no I've messed up, 3 days to get burning again!

    Make sure you have the legal foods around you, boil some eggs, get some chicken strips ready and some mayo at hand...

    Hope you manage to get through this eveing a little better. Lets us know in the morning, we'll be waiting to hear how you did! You can do this, no sweat - you know you can :yes, your doing so great.

      • Hey Vicki,

        I saw your post on not being able to control your sweet cravings. I am so there as well. Although I am not so much a dessert person, more of a nachos grande type of gal, I feel your pain. I have an absolutely horrible time keeping my hands off the fridge after 8 pm. I have asked my hubby to chain up the fridge, to which he replies by laughing. And I agree with Sally also, that by getting back into ketosis is the only way to beat that. When I was there before I wasn't hungry whatsoever and had no cravings. And I will do good for a day or so, but that's about it lately, then I will binge. This all started from when I first cheated. After that, I kept cheating. My question today is Can I really do this for the long-term? I want to, but it's so much easier to give in it seems. It's easier to order a pizza then to make a homemade low-carb meal. Anyway, don't mind me ladies, I am pmsing big time. Hope you all have a cool weekend. Happy mother's day to everyone ( I think we are all mothers).

        • i totally agree with you sally. Once i get into ketosis i really dont want to mess it up. Thats why im hoping once i get into ketosis ill be ok once again. just getting there is the trouble part for me. Today is gonna be really hard its my daughters 3rd birthday. And we are taking her to pizza Hut. I tell myself im ordering a salad. Im praying i can do it. Guess we will see. I NEED TO DO THIS. I CAN DO THIS. I NEED TO DO THIS. :anger . Vicki im right with you on the problem with the night cravings.

          • Hi Ladies,
            I did well last night. I didn't cheat. I was proud of myself this morning. Yesterday I was really put to the test. We went to a 'picnic' at my kids elementary school and they were selling Dairy Queen ice cream Blizzards. I bought two for my kids. I didn't even have a lick. When we got home my daughter said that I didn't want to open the freezer. She told me that we had frozen snickerdoodle cookie dough in there. I opened the door, closed it! LOL. I love raw cookie dough! Anyways, I really want to get back into ketosis and start doing well again. I want to thank you all for your support. It means the world to me. Come on girls, let's get back into ketosis and kick some butt again.

              • Hi Ladies

                A big well done to both Shelly and Viki, :dancingb:, it's a great feeling not to have been cheating! I find it's not just about the food, it's also a mental high having beat a very normal craving which everybody struggles with. It's so hard to get into no/low carbs WOE but it's great when it starts to work. You must keep it up over the weekend, you will be in keytosis on Monday and really start to feeling the improvements.

                ravenfan I'm sorry that you are struggling with temptation, we all do and thats for sure. Prior to the TOM our hormones go crazy, it is hard. I normally have the same problems but I have started taking evening primrose oil and star flower oil which has so far really seemed to work, however my TOM has gone AWOL at the moment, which is most odd. I try and mentally blank cheat foods out of my mind when im tempted and have teaspoon of mayo, an egg or a nice slice of chicken or beef and then get stuck into a task or somthing.

                I as a rule really crave for nuts and peanut butter but since I've had a good number of cheat free days I've really lost the urge, which is really saying somthing for me! I've lost a pound also, so I may just meet my May 10th goal of 115 :nod.

                Try hard to be cheat free, you know it's worth it. Remind yourself you have drive, determination and confidence that you can do all things exceptionally well and that includes this challenge of low carbs and being cheat free.

                Keep posting on how your getting on as the weekend goes by. Have fun :yes.

                • Hi all. I did good overall over the last few days, but last night I had one piece of snickerdoodle cookie dough. Ya know what, it wasn't even that good. Today we're gonna go grocery shopping and load up on things that I can have. That's been a major problem this week. My fridge and cubbards are empty. I'm gonna make a list and hit Walmart, Sam's Club, and the grocery store. I'll do much better. Anyways, Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

                  • ok all, im back and not doing good.
                    im officially weighing in today at 179 im up 4 pounds. messed up on mothersday and im thinking thats only an excuse. But im am honestly ready to do this, mentally and physically. I have cleaned out my pantry from the last two week of celebrating and left overs. So im good to go. I CAN DO IT.

                          Why is everyone so quiet. I've been very bad this week. Tonight we are having an employee appreciation dinner at a steakhouse. I've already gone off plan for the day, but will be ready to jump back on tomorrow. Too many good things to pass up on including an open bar. Hope everyone is doing well. My weight is stable, not sure how it will be after today but back to induction first thing tomorrow morning!

                          • Hello everyone!! I am new to these boards. I have been on the atkins diet 3 weeks. I have lost 4 lbs but if I look everyday the scale goes up and down all the time. It gets very sad. I am getting married and want to look so great for my wedding. If any of you have any words of wisdom would love to hear it. Thank you and god bless

                              I think everyone is being so bad because we are all being so bad. I haven't been on true induction in weeks. I haven't gained a single pound either, which is really weird. In fact I now weigh 162 as of this morning. Very weird.
                              Vicki, I wouldn't have turned down an open bar either. I don't drink much, but I like to have one once in awhile.
                              Love Angel, Welcome and good luck low-carbing. All of us on this thread are having a terrible time keeping up with sticking to induction, so the only advice I can give you is stick with the plan, and don't cheat even one tiny bite. I did that, and it's been all downhill since then. I just can't seem to make myself get back on track.
                              Our little thread has been quiet recently, huh? Let's get back into it ladies what do you say?

                              • Hey all, yep our little gang had been quiet. I have been working out this past week a bit. Tues did 3 miles, Wed nother 3 miles. Thurs nother 3 miles, Sat nother 3 miles and Sun 5 miles. I have been doing very good exercising and practicing for joining the 6 week exercise challenge but sticking to the totally clean induction has been hard. We had a survivor get together on thursday and then of course for the sesion finally on sunday. So it feels good to be able to cool down on the get togethers to be able not to be tempted by non induction foods. I think i will being doing alot better now. Start fresh tomarrow again. Hey Loveangel, advice i can say is stick with the board, it helps alot, alot. and stay away from the scale, if your addictied like am just try and weight at least once a week or so. I have learned that womens weight can change up to 4-5 times in one day. :yikes . And dont mess with the scale when you know you will be getting TOM (Time of Month) Dont forget to exercise thats important, im starting the 6 week exercise challenge if anyone wants to join me next sunday is a new challenge. Congrads on the planning for the wedding. When is it. I have just found out that one of my close friends is gonna get married in about 3 months so she had asked for my help and she is such a good friend there is no way i would not say yes. So this is kinda helping me push to losing alittle more weight with in a certain amount of time. Sucks but i really want to look good in those pictures as maid of honor. Also i just wanted to say Welcome to our group. We are all here to help each other out. Sally thanks for the reply that did help out alot. Hope everyone did good today if not im starting again tomarrow just to let you know.
