Yep, can relate to the sugar junkie who eats and eats and either never gains an ounce or loses weight. It is my husband. Yet, I gain weight just watching him eat. But, he doesn't make any comments to my way of eating. He just does his thing and I do mine.

I don't have to ignore him anymore, now he is very supportive, even shall we say excited?? Another vent--- When they eat your food even thou they have all of their yucky stuff sitting right there and you are almost out of yours. Example--- Grocery trip is due in a few days his options in the pantry are Doritoes-- pretzels--popcorn--pigskins- He took my flippin pigskins!!!!! When I asked him to pick them up on the way home yesterday because I was almost out of "my" food!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't even have to say anything one look and they were back in the pantry. Men---sometimes they just don't think. ( disclaimer, I am sure there are women like this as well) Also he puts up with alot of crap from me, and I LOVE HIM.Comment

I know how you feel on the food situation. The folks in my house are not on this woe either, but they eat all of their food and then have the nerve to dip into mines. :ravingComment

K coupla vents. First, I am not yet in a size 14 :anger :anger :anger I guess I am just not packing on the muscle the way everyone else is.
Second, there is this weird guy who works the graveyards here. I mean he seems nice enough and all but just a little on the strange side. Anyway somehow he has gotten it through his head that I am interested in socializing with him when I get to work. As soon as I come in the door he either comes to my desk or instant messages me. It's really starting to bug me.Comment

ok not a vent, but had to share. I have given my hubby a hard time--see above. Today he called me and told me how proud he is of me for working so hard on this way of life. Besides the diet, I am doing my hair, nails, and taking better care of my skin. He just wanted to let me know that he thinks I am looking really good and that he knows how hard I am working to do all of these things!!!! Just when you are ready to kill them, they suprise you!!! JK-- We have been together for 8 yrs on monday and I adore him, he is as my sons would say "my best pal".--hold out girls if you sit thur enough farts and insensitive moments you will get a gem!!!Comment

I have no clue how to let him know that it's just not cool what he is doing but maybe if I am just to busy to talk he will get the hint.

I have told my hubby I don't believe in divorce, I will just kill him.--if he were to lose his mind and commit the ultimate betrayal. (he won't, but at least he knows what would happen!) And yes they get better. He was pretty great to start with, I mean I do get to stay at home with my boys(my choice thank you very much) and he is always there!!--He can't help that he is a man. Thank god, because I am not attracted to women
Most of our arguments can be resolved by realizing--He is a man, I am a woman, we see things in a different way.

To clarify I personally don't believe in divorce. My dad raised me, he was 16 when I was born. He was married 5 times by the time I was 14. I was there for the ride. For me-- I don't believe in divorce. No judgements, spiritural, moral or otherwise for those who do.Comment

My 6ft 1" 366lb bro-in-law says to me yesterday. "You doing that Atkins thing - you'll just kill your heart doing that"
Says I "And you won't with your lifestyle you fat b******?"
I can only think he's jealous because I'm doing something about MY weight. Mind you this is a guy, with no life, 41 yrs never-had-a-girlfriend-still-lives-with-mum and can hardly walk for 10 minutes without sitting down. I wish he'd stop the excuses - my favourite one was "I can't diet - I need to lose too much weight".
