Re: Can I skip Veggies and go to Dairy?

One way of getting extra veggies in is to chop and saute in butter or oil then make it into a puree, add cream to taste and use as a tasty sauce to pour over meat or veggies.
5 net carbs of peppers or onions etc is easily eaten without noticing it!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

      You hate *all* veggies?

I'm assuming then that you've tried them all and several different ways to prepare each of them? You couldn't force feed me mashed cauliflower, but if you steam it and put some cheese, sour cream and bacon on it, I'm liable to run you over for a 2nd helping. LOL

I'm not trying to be facetious - but there are so many different veggies and such a huge variety of ways to prepare them that I find it impossible to believe that you can't find a way to incorporate them into your daily eating. It's going to take effort on your part, but there ARE ways to prepare them that you CAN eat - you just have to decide it's important.

No one here got fat because they had a great love of veggies. As adults with a problem we recognize, we have to take steps to change the habits that got our butts big to begin with. You're asking, essentially, for permission to skip the foods that will maintain your health and waist line and to add the foods that got you here in the first place.

Aside from that, there's no such thing as mythical magical carbs that don't count. Sugar alcohols absorb more slowly, but they do absorb.

Skipping breakfast and snacking out of boredom are part of the problem, but tell me..what were you snacking on while bored? Was it something healthy or something that continued to feed the carb cravings/addiction?

There are plenty of completely natural, healthy things you can snack on that will satisfy the occasional desire for something sweet, and these fantastic people gave you all sorts of ideas for it I'd suggest spending some serious amounts of time looking over recipes - especially in the veggie sections - for ideas that you can start to incorporate and make a conscious effort to change those nasty habits! You really will find, as 2big said, that your tastes change and the way a lot of food tastes to you if you cut all the junk out. Seriously. You'll be amazed!

      I wish you success
