So I'm starting to eat yogurt this week, the only problem is I don't like the taste of plain, unsweetened yogurt. What do you guys do to make yogurt taste better?

Re: Yogurt
I use it as an ingredient as a replacement for heavy cream in a cold vegetable soup, like cucumber mint soup or as a dip/salad dressing base.
Yogurt makes a good chicken marinade too because it tenderizes the meat. You can roll the marinated meat in a mixture of chopped nuts and grated cheese then bake it. The crumb mixture will stick to the yogurt that's sticking on the meat.
In India and Pakistan, they make a yogurt drink called "lassi". It's just yogurt tossed in a blender with water, ice cubes and herbs/spices. they use honey or sugar but you can use an artificial sweetener instead. Here are some links to lassi recipes:

A good variation for a hot summer day like we've been having here is mint lassi---blenderize fresh mint leaves with the plain lassi recipe.
When you move to the fruit rungs you can incorporate fruits into your lassi:

Re: Yogurt
My favorite thing with plain yogurt is
Tzatziki Dip
3 cups whole fat yogurt
1 medium cucumber
2 garlic cloves, very finely grated
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 tbs olive oil
5 drops lemon juice
salt to taste
Drain the yogurt until you have 1 cup of yogurt cheese. Place the yogurt cheese in the food processor. Grate the cucumber and blot thoroughly with paper towels. Place in food processor. (or u can mix by hand)
Place remaining ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth. Garnish with chopped parsely or mint, if desired. Use as a dip for veggies or a sauce for grilled chicken or fish.

Re: Yogurt
Sometimes I have Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom Low Carb Vanilla yogurt (can only find it at Target). More often, I have greek yogurt with a few drops of liquid Splenda and some unsweetened cocoa. Also, try cottage cheese with Splenda and unsweetened cocoa - really great!

Re: Yogurt
If you don't drain the yogurt and blenderize the mixture until very smooth, it makes a terrific salad dressing.Originally posted by indymomMy favorite thing with plain yogurt is

And if you use half of the yogurt, don't drain it, substitute the garlic for about 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves and blenderize the mixture until smooth (adding water to thin it alittle), it makes a great chilled cucumber soup!~Megs~
