Remember to measure as well inches lost = fat lost!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
Hey Mitz, I just realized I ate a little of everything today from every level:
I had a final serving of leftover berries (8 raspberries & 14 blueberries) so I ate them with my soy pancakes. And I had yogurt, 4 oz of unsweetened soy milk and the normal protein and veggies.
That must be a big no no based on your recent posting. Crap.
I changed my fitmenu for tomorrow and there will be no berries. But eating the soy pancakes again and yogurt ok on the same day?
It is fine to eat from all of the rungs... I just wouldn't add different new foods within the same week. And if you did do that this week, don't let it stress you out. This is always a work in progress. I think you will be fine with it.
Jax, it is not unusual to have entire weeks with no loss on the scale. In fact, I would say that it is typical. Patience has never been my strong suit, but progressing through the rungs of OWL forced me to practice patience. Just keep up the good job you have been doing, and I am convinced that you will succeed.
I am not trying to yo-yo. I took the advice to up my calories and I did. And then I think I might have gone overboard trying to focus on fat.
Once I got closer to my goal weight, I (unfortuantely) found that calories matter more than they did when I was heavier. So it is something I must watch.
I'll look into other pancakes. I gave my soycakes 6/10 flavor wise.
Yeah, soy flour is kinda yucky to me. I hope you find some ground flaxmeal. And I recently found that I like golden flaxseed meal, better than the regular. I had been eating the regular for years, and just recently tried the golden. Do you have Target where you are? I have found mine there. Albertson's used to have it, too, but I can't find it there anymore.
glad you are enjoying your soy flour. You are the first atkinseer I have read that liked the stuff.
you can make your flax meal pancakes without any other flour added
try 1/4 c of flax meal mixed with 1/2t baking powder. add one egg and 1T of each cream, sourcream, and liquid fat ( I use EEOV but youcan use melted butter or any nonhydrogenated veggie oil). Pour in 1/4 cup of water and mix well stirring for at least 1 min.
let it sit for 4 min so the flax can develope if it is too thick add more water to thin it should be pourable.
cook on medium heat for 4 min and flip for 4 more min. you can use a skillet with a lid to cut the cooking time makes 4 hotcakes and ususally 2 is all you need.
Glad you are climbing the ladder and checking to find your CCLL.
sorry you didn't feel well after eating the berries.
I gave up on measuring inches because I get a different number even after doing them several times in a row. So I figured I would go by my clothes and smaller sizes. Although I know it will take time to see a difference the closer I get to goal. I was able to fit into almost all my old clothes. I still have a few items that don't fit as of now.
I really did not mind the soy with some sf syrup on top. But I will try the flaxmeal recipe for sure. But I like soy. Soymilk, sounuts, etc. I do have the brand that Mitzi posted. I think I will have to order my almond meal on amazon like atkinsgal suggested.
Yes I was bummed about the berries too but I will use them as a treat every once in a while.
Thanks for the recipe I might be trying it tomorrow morning home with a sick kid .
