    Re: Is this good?

2big, you need to write a book "Math for Pea Brains." That makes so much sense. I'll keep at it....tomorrow starts my no dairy experiment. Have been putting it off....

I read up on it and the number of non Caucasians that are lactose intolerant is staggering. Since I have Asian and North African ancestors it makes sense to give it a try. I know for sure I cannot eat a lot of dairy. But maybe all dairy has some ill effects. Will report back

2 big you have no idea how much you helped!! i feel better now!

    Thank you!!!

      Re: Is this good?

So it looks like Splenda and aspartame affect my blood sugar after all.

I did a fasting glucose test yesterday and got 88. Today I did exactly the same thing except I'd had a green tea with Splenda and VOILA! 100!! So I guess it does affect me. I'm going to totally cut out all the fake sweets (and dairy) and see what happens.

        Re: Is this good?

        you are welcome.
you are going to need to test your blood sugsr more then one time to know the splenda did it cause any number of factors from where you are in your TOM cycle to what you ate the night before could cause that slight elevation. If you see it several times happening then you know you have a tea and splenda issue you will need to test just tea and just splenda to know which it is if it was the 2 of them.

That's good to know. I hope it doesn't affect me. I hear that diet sodas make some people crave but not me. I just have one after lunch and I am very satisfied. But it has become a force of habit that i MUST have a sweet drink after lunch (but only M-F). Weird.

            Re: Is this good?

Allright! Back down to 125, plus all the added strength I have from my workouts! Feeling good!
What did it for me was cutting down the dairy. It REALLY stalls me. So Rung 2 is done. I am allowing myself 3-4 ounces of DAIRY a day. Meaning if I have coffee or a protein shake, no cheese for the day and vice versa. Trying to go at least 2 days a week dairy free.
I've also cut out the diet sodas, more for my health than anything else. I do sometimes have matcha powder sweetened with Splenda....but not every day.

I am very happy...although I was 125 weeks ago, I have added 90 lbs to my leg press and almost double the weights on upper body exercises...so definitely think I have more muscle than fat than when I started.

              Re: Is this good?

have yiou been measuring? I know when I was doing the BFL lifting plan I added pounds of muscle in a 6 month span. I got a dunk tank body fat measurement in June and Dec. I was grumbling all fall about how little I was losing and how when we did the 6 week exercise challenge my biceps, thighs and calves were getting bigger not smaller so i was all was dead last in the number of inches lost. the scales changed a mear 4 pounds for the full 6 months, but I changed by body fat 7.86% lower in that time

                Re: Is this good?

oh WOW! That's a HUGE change. I only measured my chest/waist/hips and I've gone down a bit on the measurements. Will measure again soon. One thing I have really noticed is that I no longer have to suck in my stomach (when i remember). It is just fairly flat on it own. And clothes that didn't look too good (especially after a meal) fit great now...and i was EXACTLY the same weight.

                  Re: Is this good?

I just posted about losing inches before pounds too! Looks like were in the same boat. But I think you want to lose more than me at this point. i think I want to lose 5 more lbs.

It may take us two more months to get there though
