Thank you, everyone, for the kind comments. I thought I would post another photo (the most recent I have).

It was taken at a wonderful Persian restaurant, which is very Atkins friendly.

Skipping the sugary goodies was worth every single ounce of weight lost. If I had to do it all over again, the only thing I would have changed is to start sooner!

I would also like to add that you're all doing an amazing job too! Keep up the good work and thank you again for the accolades.

                          Hey Tom,
You are doing an amazing job!!!
What is the name of the Persian restaurant, and what city is it in? I will be in CA soon, and I am looking for good Persian restaurants. I cook Persian food a lot. I guess it is pretty Atkins friendly, except for the Rice!!!!Oh, the glorious Persian rice! A true Persian puts a small mountain of rice on his plate before adding the wonderful entree to it! What is your favorite Persian food?

The place is called Caspians, and it is located in Irvine (Orange county).

Caspian Restaurant - The Finest In Persian Cuisine

They have live entertainment and wonderful food. The clientele is heavily comprised of those of Persian descent, which I believe is often a tell tale sign of a great ethnic restaurant.

My favorite dish is the tahdeeg with khoresh fesenjoon and khoresh gheimeh; however, that is not Atkins friendly. I typically opt for the much more friendly fillet kebab with the rice substituted for a shirazi salad. It is delicious!

Take a look at the menu before you go, as it can be a touch pricey for a casual evening out with the family. If you go, please do tell me what you think!
