So now I went out and purchased some South Beach Ranch Dressing that has 3 grams of carbs.

Anyone have an alternate choice on Dressings that are Atkins Friendly?

I plan on taking a 3 week photo tomorrow and will post those results I don't see any loss, but the scale is showing some loss and I'm in Ketosis so we'll see what the masses thinks
    Thanks

    Hi Chip~
Watch out for added sugar even in "low carb" dressings. Balsamic vinegar is a no-no. I use oil and (white) vinegar, or chives and sour cream, or mustard and oil, or a little (fresh "squeezed") tomato juice with oil and vinegar to make French dressing--so much easier to track the ingredients when it's homeade and it's pretty stinkin easy to do (you don't have to make more than you need at the time).

Great Tips... Thanks anyone want to buy a new bottle of vinegar? lol

Anyhow planned on posting pic today, but lost track of time, so will do it later this week. I did my official 3week weigh in and I'm down 13 total. not where I had hoped, but I set a mini goal for me for next week. Down to 300 so 4 lbs to go.
guess I better start moving a little as well

Anyhow thanks for the info and to everyone else for the words of encouragement.

                Re: First Week Pic

Well 4 weeks on and so far so good. Not losing as fast as I had hoped but the important thing is I'm losing. I'm in Ketosis, and have been watching what I eat religiously.
My only issue so far has been giving up the Diet Coke, for water with lemon. The rest of it is no big deal to me. Can live wih out the Fries, Baked Potato, and breads. I Just wish there was a Splenda made version of Crystal Light. I've also been able to keep this lifestyle while my wife is on a separate diet plan. She is doing great we well. I cook us both the same meat, but she gets a few more items like crackers or fruit while I ignore those items and just go for the veggies and meat

As for total lost after 4 weeks. Well yesterday I weighed myself and it was 299.4. This AM I was 301, so still bouncing around 300 I'd say, but I was in heaven seeing the 300 mark broken even if it was only for a day. I know soon that 299 or lower will be there all the time.

So on that note, I'll take another picture and post it under my First Post for comparison purposes... http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...-week-pic.html

Thanks to all for the support,

                Chip

                  Re: First Week Pic

Chip~ I've been reading your posts, from your original post to your last. Just wanted to say good luck and you're doing a great job. It's hard, but after a while it will become second nature. I stressed for the first month or so (I'm on extended induction) about the amount of carbs and if I was doing it right. I had never counted calories, fat, carbs- ever. So it was a bit of education. Then one day it clicked and became "just the way I do it."

Anyway, just wanted to say keep up the good, hard work. Follow the rules and you are going to be so surprised. ;o)

Thanks to all for their great comments and words of encouragement.
I figured I'd report where I'm at so far... Well I started at 316, and as of this morning I weighed in at 296.4 I think that's 20lbs so far.

This truly has been fairly easy to do. I was struggling at first, but as time goes on, I'm finding it easier to eat this WOL. Although the waiters often look at me weird LOL LOL

Oh well if I have time I'll post a 20lbs Down picture tomorrow.

Thanks once again. This Groups Da Best and has lots of inspiration to review.
