  • US/UK measure guide and conversion tables

A couple of very useful conversion charts:

conversion chart with "the gram equivalent for different ingredients" in alphabetical order to US cups

    and (just in case)

    US-Imperial-Metric conversion tables
Metric and imperial and currency conversion calculator. Online charts and tables to convert currency, temperature, length, area, mass and volume

    Hope that helps.

This is my favorite and easiest site for conversion.

Weight conversion calculator for metric and imperial units including Kilograms, ounces and Pounds.

One cup is almost 1/4 of a liter. To make a quick 1 cup dry measure cut a plastic water bottle to the 1/4 liter mark. There are 16 american tablespoons in one cup.

1 ounce is 28.34 grams if you have a ditigel scale

The more numerate may just prefer to type an expression into Google
          - it will return the answer.

          Conversions it handles well.

          For example, you may enter

          15 fl oz in ml
          half cup in teaspoons

          See

Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
          he said, 'Don't count calories.'

Re: US/UK measure guide and conversion tables

i guess i am really old, i just know how much two ounces is, and how much a half a cup is without measuring. i never used a measuing cup on my weight loss i know i never cheated my self, and doubt i over did it either. two heaping spoons of cottage cheese is a half a cup, i guess that is from years of weighing stuff on weight watchers, i have the measuring thing down to my eyes only, i also get those two ounce to go containers from sams and i store my cheese, sour cream, cream cheese deserts in them and know one is two ounce and two are a half a cup, other than that i just use my eyes or spoon
