    oh pumpkin is great you can add 1 ounce of cream cheese and somew pumpkin pie spice and do pumpkin butter yummy by the spoonful as a snack or as a veggie. i used it on my flax meal pancakes all the time and cooked with garlic and chopped onions makes a great savory veggie.

      FWIW, I spent only a week on Rung 1. I was pretty much fed-up with Induction foods and I needed to eat other things. Many people cheat on extended Induction because they get bored and I knew I would be one of them, LOL! Keep that in mind if Rung 1 gets too ho-hum for you.
      Good Idea!! I will do Rung 1 for 2 weeks to see where I am at that point and then go ahead and move to the next rung. From there on out, I will do the Rungs at 3 to 4 week intervals.

        Yes, I thought Pumkin would be great b/c it can be used as a veggie carb but it tastes like a treat without the additional carbs. Does that make since?

          I want to make an announcement!!
          I am not fretting over calories anymore! I bet everyone is pleased to hear this news! I have my calories back down to around 1500 give or take a little. And, my percentages are in place. Also, I am eating my veggies evenly spread though out the day with each meal. However, I will be honest! Today my total calories were a little low. I could not believe it when I entered everything in Fitday. I only ate 1, 236 calories. It seems like I ate a lot today. I also ate a total of 23 carbs today. I did come up 2 carb gram short, but I aim for 25 each day. So, I don't think I have done too bad. Oh, and just to let you know... the low calorie number was not intentional. I really wash shocked that it wasn't higher.

            don't sweat it. if you feed your body what uit needed to satisfy your hunger thenthat was all the cals it needed today. tomorrow it might say I'm hunger and ask for 2000. learn hunger and feed it. I had breakfast pizza today and was salavating while it was cooking sat down had 2 bites and was no longer hungry so in the frige went the rest now 5+ hrs later I'm still not hungry and will be using my 6 hr rule in 34 min. yesterday i was very hungry and had well over 3000 cals. As long as you respond to yourbody's call for fuel you will be fine and see it all averages out.

              Thanks 2big! I have a clear understanding. And, I am getting better all the time about feeding the hunger and "NOTHING" else.

                For those people that ARE and DO worry about calories, PLEASE STOP!

                I freaked out about calories for a few days and now I realize this is non-sense. I weighed in this morning and was down 2 lbs. I now KNOW that I do NOT have to worry about this issue. And, in a weeks time I have managed to learn how to eat until I am satisfied and STOP. This is a wonderful feeling.

                      no way you come across as brilliant girl!!! I get so excited when people say they have figured out it is NOT about numbers but about eating right and feeling content instead of stuffing yourself until done!!! that was certainly my hardest lesson! when it clicked for me I knew I would stay thin forever you know

                      bumping means to bump what you said to the top of the thread again so it is noticed ..and I really really really want to have what you said noticed!!!!

                      you can mind game this to death ..but bottom line ...eat a large variety of fresh foods ...well prepared eat enough to be content...not full move your body ...drink water ...and try not to fixate on what you can not have and enjoy a whole world of what you can ...

                      OOOXXXX congratulations I think you may have found content!!!

                        Heidi, I eat better now than before I started this WOE. My cravings are gone and if I DO want something a little sweet, I know I can have it as long as it is Atkins Friendly. I also find that cooking this way, at least to me, is really easy and quick. I use to binge in private....What a horrible feeling that gives you afterwards! I don't even worry about food anymore. It is not on my mind constantly like it use to be with wondering Oh I shouldn't eat this or that. I don't do that to myself anymoe. I eat when I am hungry and DON"T WORRY. I wish the people who say negative things about this WOE or people that do worry about numbers would really give it a TRUE shot and they, too, would realize what you and I have come to know.
