Yup, I have no "Maine" or "Downeast" accent whatsoever even though I've lived in state nearly all my life (my folks are from away though). People are always commenting on my lack of accent, but God help me, I say "wicked." I can't help myself. "She's wicked silly." or whatever... not with the accent, but just using that foolish word all the time. I think "wicked" just happens to you, and there's nothing that you can do once you've been immersed in it. You just keep saying it and saying it because it's so convenient.
So I'm no fun. I say "chowder" and "lobster."

it just kind of rolls off my tongue! I still use it pretty freely ....now is that good or bad?...at this point in my life ..who cares!!! it is a very common term in my liine of work actually
