    Re: Another Week, Another Pound...

Umm...then with this all being said...what is the correct ratio? I am sitting at 70 fat / 25 protein / 5 carb.

    Is 75/20/5 better?

    Confused,

wild happy dance this sounds perfect to me

Rae I certianly would never counsel anyone on ratios I will pass that on ..I added foods as I came up the ladder with out adding volume to my plate ..I do not count anything at all...I think Megs or 2big would be the best to ask..I know my ratios must have changed as I added foods ..and one time I did put a week of what I ate into fitday but I do not remember what it was...all I can say is I read the book and took it verbatum then made my food accordingly ...

the one thing Dr Atkins said that stuck with me the most is to eat until you are content and not full ..it is not easy ...but I feel very strongly that was what made this for me ..

as long as you are content with the slower moving inches and pounds then add all the frills your metabolism can stand.

Induction is 65% fats 30% proteins and under 20 net carbs. After 14 day induction based on your results and what Dr Atkins tells you to do based on your metabolic resistnace your fats will inter increase per chapter 20 for the metabolically resistant or begin to go down slighty when we move to OWL and add the healthy lower glycemic index carbohydrates. At goal you are look at about 50% of your cals being from fats.
