  • Ok so Im GOING to be cheating!

    Yep

    planning a cheat LOL

    I know it sounds crazy (well I am a bit of a loon) BUT im going to NYC next week for 5 days and there is no way im going there without partaking in all the great food like pizza bagels cannolis ect ect (sorry guys if i offend anyone)

    So here is the question...

    when I get back after a 5 day binge should I go back into induction or back on my reg diet habits?

    ohh and BTW flame away

    No comment, as I can not condone a cheat I'm afraid. A cheat is a cheat planned or not.

    I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

        Since you most likely will be out of ketosis by that point and you want to be in ketosis, and the only way to get into ketosis is to go on induction for a few days, then yes, you should probably go back on induction.

          I would go back to induction at least for a few days to get backinto ketosis. then pick up where you left off...

            NY has great restaurants--why cheat just to have pizza?

              Why do people insist on asking this question on an "Atkins Diet" board? Maybe Tom needs to make a board for people who want to ask questions about intentionally cheating.

                              Okay guys, let's all calm down. Forest has made his decision about his dietary plans during his vacation. He is aware of the side effects of breaking the diet and is willing to do it anyway.

                              I think we're wasting our time trying to convince him otherwise. He's made a decision...hopefully an informed decision...and that's that. He's willing to take responsibility for his decision. So let's not take this too personally.

                              Should you go back to Induction? It depends: how many carbs you consume daily and your carbohydrate losing level. If you're a lucky person, like 2Big and a couple of other ADBBers, you can eat well over 100 net carbs daily and lose weight. So a bagel wouldn't hurt your weight loss.

                              You're going to have to play it by ear and see what happens the morning of Day 6 when you weigh and measure.
