I was gonna post this under my original thread, but it was hijacked and I don't want to interrupt the lovefest going on over there!
Anyway, I went to the doctor for my hair loss yesterday and I brought all of my vitamins. I was taking one Carb Smart multivitamin, 600 mg of calcium, 125 mg of magnesium and 1 special vitamin I picked up for healthy hair. She looked at them and told me that I was WAY over on my vitamin A and to stop it immediately (the one for hair). We all think of vitamins as being a good thing, but as the saying goes - there is such a thing as too much of a good thing! Oh yeah, and as a side note, she looked at my diet for the last 5 days (I printed out my Fitday menus for her) and she said that I was eating a very healthy diet and really could not improve upon it, soooo don't let anyone tell you this WOE is bad for you! She said that most doctors only have a problem with Induction, as there are a lot of nutrients that are lost with that restrictive phase (hence my hair loss a few months later), but they think OWL is pretty healthy. FYI.

Haha! Actually, when she looked at it she commented that it was thick. I laughed and said, well, I've lost half of it, so you can imagine how much hair I had to begin with! She said she saw new growth, so that's promising. I was supposed to get my roots touched up yesterday, but she advised against it, saying to wait 4 weeks.

OOOXXX I will stop now
But, I must put my 2 cents in here. I don't believe that you have control over how your body will handle Induction. My veggies have always consisted of lettuce, zucchini, spinach, spaghetti squash, tomatoes, cucumber, mushrooms, onions, peppers, romaine, broccoli, cauliflower and pumpkin to name a few and I was obsessed with my Fitday numbers being right on. I personally think some people can handle the lack of nutrients lost and some people can't - just like some get Induction flu and some don't and some lose 30 pounds on Induction and some lose 5. Everyone is different.
