I wouldn't do it. I've seen what happens if it's not done correctly and I wouldn't want to risk it.

Now laser hair removal for my legs - I'd be there in 1 minute!!

No lipo - but I am all over the boob lift. They appeared when I was 10, and were a DD by high school. Two kids later and I think it's time to fight back against gravity. No more minimizers. Spaghetti straps here I come!!

I would have if you'd asked a month ago...lipo on the stomach would be nice, it's always been my problem area...but a couple of weeks ago a Toronto woman died on the table getting lipo, so now i'd say no...far too risky just for vanity.

LOL lived my whole life here, but can't imagine it being a place that tourists visit (thought i realize millions do), i guess we never appreciate what we've got!

I lived about an hour away and I use to go to golf shows and trade shows representing the hotel I worked for. I stayed in a Best Western There. I remember I always got excited when i got near the city.. Maybe Oshawa and I started seeing those Chevrons. LOL. I tell you... you all can really drive. We were really cruising but I was amazed at how everyone kept their distance.

I wouldn't get lipo, but I would get lifts ALL over in a heart beat, and EVERYDAY I pray that I'm able too. My body has fallen and won't get back up It's truly a MESS!!! I don't care about the pain of surgery. I've had LOTS from other surgeries so that doesn't scare me anymore...I NEED LIFTS, and all this extra skin removed. I'll even donate it to burn victims

wouldn't it be great if burn units would buy our extra skin flats and remove it themselves. It would be like free plastic surgery.

Re: I Know this may be touchy but........

I would like to think I'll never have anything like this done. Firstly, I would worry about the unnecessary risks of pucturing something I need. Also, if I'm honest I don't like the way that so many people want to look perfect. I can imagine a point in the future where it's almost expected that people have surgery, particularly for ageing, and that seems sad. I think, again - particularly with the ageing, people shouln't feel pressure to have all this invasive stuff done to themselves. It's painful and expensive. Also a lot of stuff you see that people have done looks bizarre.

Stuff like pectoral implants, etc, tend to look silly, particularly on a body that isn't otherwise fit.

I can understand more why people would want to have excess skin removed and stuff lifted, but still I be very loathe to do it myself because I see it as part of the same phenomenon of everyone feeling bad because they don't look like supertoned and amazing celebrities.

I don't mean to be judgemental just my 2 pence I just think it's kind sad that people feel so bad about their bodies that they undergo what can be very extreme procedures.

On the other hand, I've been very lucky - I have no loose skin and am yet to have the joy of childbirth wreak havoc on my body. Ask me then

Heck yeah. Throw a breast reduction into the deal and I'd be in heaven!

Nope. Studies have shown that liposuction doesn't improve your cardiovascular risk factors like good old-fashioned weight loss and exercise do. So for me, it's not worth the surgical risks. Plus, your body can grow new fat cells. So if you have 100 fat cells, and you get 50 lipo'd off. Your body might make 50 to replace the ones you lost....

Alexa, I understand what you're saying, and I wish I was as lucky as you and not have extra skin DANGLING off my body. I am sure by the time I'm finished I'll have a good 20-30 pounds of UNWANTED skin that will have to be removed because I can't even imagine trying to stuff my skin into pants and things for the rest of my life. I don't want to wear a bikini...I want to be happy in my skin Right now I am uncomfortable

Well of course I would!! lol as most of you know I just had a tummy tuck, lipo and the twin peaks worked on in August... I'd do it again in a heart beat!!!
Am I perfect now? No. Am I much much much more comfortable in my own skin? Absolutely! Strangly I'm still the same size but what a differance!! It truely is amazing!
For the first month or so after the surgery I said I'd do it all over again except for the lipo because the lipo was the most painful... But now that the pain is going away and the swelling is going down I'd do the lipo again too.
Seriously though - the pain from the lipo was unbelievable!!! But it was worth it!
