Re: I Know this may be touchy but........

I'd do the tummy tuck but no lipo. I watch too much discovery channel and I've watched them do them...the doctors talking to the anesthesiologist about the football game, not watching where that wretched vacuum cleaner hose is going...I'd be the one that would get her spleen punctured or something would get sucked out that I actually need!!

However...tummy tuck and a breast lift...OH YEAH. In fact, if I can move my scale to goal by Christmas...that's what I'm buying myself! My kids were 8 lb 9 oz, 9 lb 14 oz, and 7 lb 6 oz...my belly looks like a deflated balloon and I don't care who says you can exercise it back into shape...my elastic is shot and I need a new waistband! I'm tired of wearing a size bigger of clothes just to fit my skin. (ewww)

And I figure...the pain I'm going to have to deal with after the surgery has a start and an end but if I don't do it, the emotional pain of seeing that skin staring at me everyday is endless.

I would definitely have loose skin removed if I have it and can afford it. I am going to do everything in my power not to have it, but you never know. I saw a show where a woman had the skin removed after 100 + lb weight loss. It was incredible! I knew at that moment that I would do it.

It is nice seeing a picture where I actually have a neck!

I don't want to wear a bikini...I want to be happy in my skin Right now I am uncomfortable
Yeah, I can totally see why you would do that. I saw a show where a woman had it done when she'd lost about 200lbs and it looked kinda painful, but her extra skin was extreme. She had it done after a gastric bypass though, and seemed a bit malnourished and her body didn't respond so well. She had a whole midsection removed and like a leg lift - so it was pretty major.

As I said, I was just lucky in that I found a diet that worked (Atkins, of course ) before I got to the point where skin became an issue.

I just have a little anti-unneccessary surgery agenda going on - I think I've seen too many shows where people get insane things done, like their toes or their private parts (though I'm sure in some cases people do need surgery there). Also, come 2062 I don't want to be the only 80 year old in the world with a saggy face!
