Re: What am i doing wrong?!

I have a couple questions. I see you ate 140g of broccili can someone convert that to cups? Also, I don't see any list one veggies. You should be eating two cups of list one and only one cup of list two veggies. Broccili and spinach are both list two. A cup would be like a small handful of flowerettes. Second, bacon is high sodium and usually has sugar and carbs. I count 1 carb for every two slices of bacon. My scale just doesn't move if I eat too much bacon plus my skin just goes crazy. I only allow myself bacon a couple times a week. On the days I eat bacon I go lighter on cheese (also full of salt). Also check your mayonnaise for sugar. Get creative with the recipes so you can enjoy your food and make sure you read the book.

According to the USDA database one cup of raw chopped broccoli weighs 91 grams, so 140 grams would be a bit over 1.5 cups.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

So you are over on broccoli and spinach and not eating list one. That is one thing but this needs to be a way of life to work for you. That means you need to be able to enjoy it. Def look around the recipe section. But before Atkins with the exception of sugary snacks what kinds of food do you enjoy? French, itallian, mexican, english home cooking etc. I have a ton of recipe links at home. I use allrecipes a lot and you can search by ingredient and exclude by ingredient as well.

It's the cooked vs raw thing. The USDA data for cooked broccoli match what you got. The book says veggies should be measured raw.

One cup of cooked broccoli is 156 grams (about 8 net carbs) - but as brandywine said, we are supposed to measure our veggies raw for induction quantities, so measure/weigh them before cooking to be on the safe side.
Things like spinach especially shrink down alarmingly once cooked!!
