Hello! Another long day, no cheats though so I am happy, but the water is getting harder to drink I think, I've only done 2 cups of water today and it's already 7 pm here!! So I guess it's another night of sitting down and downing a gallon, joy of joys...

My mom has those taebo tapes you were talking about (val?) so I might try that. They should be relatively easy seeing as I was in Tae Kwon Do as a kid and through a lot of high school (I quit as soon as I got my black belt, in hignsight a HUGE mistake :{). In fact, when I reach my goal weight I may consider taking it up again, it was a lot of fun, I was good at it, good work out, discipline, ect..

Cori...try to get 8 in at least. But don't down 6 cups at a time just to make it. Maybe try to spread it out more by having 2 cups in the morning with breakfast before you leave the house. 2 with your lunch. 2 with supper and hopefully the other 2 gets drunk just sipping through the day or while you are on the puter.

I understand you not wanting to go back to Tae Kwon Do while you are are not at your goal...BUT I urge you not to wait until you are all the way to your goal before you go back to it. Maybe consider...when I get to 150 my reward will be to start back to classes for it. It will only speed you to your goal and also with the exercising you may end up weighing more than your goal but looking smaller....anyway...just a thought.

good evening buddies........just got back from a bike ride. DH and i rode almost 5 miles(4.71 miles on pedom.) on a local bike trail. it felt so good to get out and ride. i'm still kinda unsteady on the bike, but it's only the second time i've been on the bike in about 20 yrs.

i'm pleased with the number of buddies who are gonna join in on the exercise challenge with me next week. you can make it official on the first day of the new week's thread by posting what your goal is for the week. i hope more will decide to join. i know the exercise aspect has really helped me this time on this woe, and i hope i can keep it up. i think i will try to add some weight/strength training for my new exercise. we have a weight bench, and it's not been getting any use for quite some time. gonna have to dust the cobwebs off first, but that's my goal, i will try to add that atleast 2 days next week. will start off slow, but will try to do atleast 15 mins both days.

joe-your so funny!!!LOL unfortunately virtual exercising doesn't count, but i still hope you will decide to join us buddies on the challenge.

elsie-sounds like a busy week for you, but i hope that with all the company you have, you won't have to abandon us too much. i understand you don't feel like an exercise challenge this week, maybe next week. you never know, you might be able to work something in with the whole crew while they are there. maybe get a game of touch football going, or volleyball, or even passing a frisbee around. i hope you enjoy your time with the family and can stay on track. oh yeah....keep us in your thoughts, even if you don't get time to post we will still hear your voice in our heads......wait, how did you get in my head......i'm not the one that's been hearing voices.....LOL sorry, i had to go there....feeling goofy after that bike ride, i think i might have swallowed one too many bugs while i was riding.......hehehehehe

oh yeah, i almost forgot to tell y'all the good news.....because of TOM i didn't weigh myself on monday, but i also have company coming in this weekend, so i wanted to be able to tell them how much weight i'd lost so far. well........ i lost a total of 19 lbs as of this morning. i still can't believe it!!!! i felt kinda guilty not waiting until monday, but i was really wanting to know. i couldn't have gotten this far without all of you, so i want to thank everyone for all the supporti love you guys!!!!!

wow.....that felt good, i haven't given you all a good ramble in quite some time.

gonna shut up now, have a good one
          monie

Way to go monie on the 19lbs. sounds like your really getting your exercise in too. Seems like the more exercise i do, the more i enjoy it. Starting to look for ways to get a little more exercise such as parking the car further away from the store. Walkng to the local store when i just need a thing or two and can carry it. Cori, ususally i get my water in at work. We have a water cooler-purifier type thing. So the combination work-cool water works for me. On vacation this week so my water intake hasnt been as good. Lots of coffee though Joe. Drinking decaf and some starbucks i got a deal on. Over the last couple weeks i bought some weights and some work out videos. Love the weights, the work out videos are not used yet. Probably get into them when the weather is bad.

Virtual exercising would be me(or whoever) jogging, lifting, walking etc as I'm seated from me chair. Like that virtual roller coaster movie where it almost feels you are roller coasting but your not. Even your seats not moving, just feels like you are. That sorta thing but without the sweat. Clean, totally clean. God Bless,Joe

Hey all!! I am getting my water, I just haven't remembered to post it. I am busy trying to burn images of cat guts into my head for the dissection test coming up. ugh. BF offered to get me the real thing, we have an older cat that he hates cuz it sheds a lot, haha, he was kidding! BTW!!! He lost 20 pounds now in the last 4 weeks!! Yay for him!! BUT, he just found out that on Mon he has to leave for a job out of town for two weeks and will be staying in a motel without a kitchenette.... any survival advice for someone who can't do his own cooking??? He can take a cooler and keep ice in it, I'm sure the hotel will have an ice machine. He is worried, he is really dedicated. But most of his food will be eaten at a Perkins or fast food.

We bypassed the gyro guy today, came home and bf was making atkins meatloaf and greenbeans! Well, I gotta run, DB is crying his little heart out, time for bed.

                  Howdy all, and especially, Elsie,

I am now well into Day 4 of a clean induction. Am enjoying it--starting to feel better and better.

Also, did a 20 minute exercise challenge today.

                  This is fun!

                  Until next time,
                  Ruth

congratulations on the 19 lbs. monie, that is really awesome!

Elsie, I think that you are right but I am definitely going to wait until I lose some of the weight and am feeling more energetic and confident, because those classes require a lot.. but you are right where they will help me lose more weight. I will see how I feel about it at 150...

Drank 5 more cups, so I am at 7 for tonight...not horrible. Tomorrow I will get an early start on it.

Dad just walked in the door from his business trip -- I can hear him washing dishes downstairs..

                    Check in tomorrow!

val-i have a suggestion for your BF. he could take some tuna. i usually buy the sunkist tuna pouches. i take one to work if i didn't have time to prepare my lunch. it's a great thing to have for a quick fix. he could swipe some mayo packets from fast food places to make tuna salad. also, he can get salads at the restaurants, and most places will serve burgers or grilled chicken sandwiches without the buns if asked.
anyway, that's all i can think of for now as far as his trip goes, hope this helps.

Monie..how is your butt? That is what is really keeping me from the bike...well that and the bike needs an overhaul...the pain of the bruised pelvis(?)(Val..help me out here..what are those bones called? *** bones doesn't sound right..LOL) bones...that I felt for minimum a week afterward. I will join you in some sort of exercise commitment when the company is gone. It may not be every day but it will be at least 3 days a week. Do you hear my voice in your head?? It is saying how proud I am at how much you have accomplished and that I...and the buddy list...have been a part of your journey! You are and have been an inspiration to this list.

fat4now...is there another name we can call you by...hate to shorten it to fat. Way to go on using the weights.

                              Joe...nope...that doesn't count...toooo virtual...LOL. Maybe you should get a Wii???

Val...Yah on passing the gyro guy! You are going to slid into those scrubs easy peasy! BF is rocking... I might have to start hating him...just a bit...LOL! Cheese sticks...pork rinds...nuts...in resturants...grilled chicken ceasar salad. Steak (or any meat straight up), no potatoes, double the veggie...but ask what it is first. Chef's salad. Breakfast....bacon and eggs. Omelets. maybe eggs benedict??

Ruthie! There you are...was wondering where you got to! Glad the induction flu is passing. How is the eating going?? Way to go on the exercise. You are well on your way to success.

Cori...way better on the water. LOL...didn't you wash dishes when your dad was away??

                              Vanessa...how is it going girl!!??

Bill...when you are finish there...I have some here for you to do..and a little lit dusting too...LOL! Welcome back!
