Man, It feel so good not to feel alone. My story happened years ago but it still bothers me till this day. A year after I had my daughter I went from a size 20 to 26 (I was a stay at home mom) and my family decided to go to Six Flags, I love roller coasters I was never too big to ride them until then. Well I wanted to get on the Batman and of course I spent more than 45mins. in line, well it was my turn to get on and the seatbelt would not lock so one of the guys tried to assist me and then it turned to 2 guys trying then 3 the seatbelt never lock (after about 5min. trying) and I was told that I had to get off the ride. I was in the front of the ride it was the most
embarrassing moment in my life having to walk past the people b/c I was to big to ride. I heard people snickering as I was leaving, this was one time in my life I wish the earth would have opened to swallow me up. Because of that incident I don't enjoy going to amusement parks as much as I use to. I laugh about now but it still hurts.

I will ride next year!!! Looking fabulous can't wait.

ugh! every time i think about it i cringe.. it was last yr i just got out of my depression and realized i was a whooping 230lbs! i got stubborn and refused to buy new clothes for my bigger frame.. so i ate less and exercised 2hrs a day and dropped 20lbs in a month.. when my mother was talking to my sister about how good i was doing on loosing weight my sister then proceded to say she exercises so much and you cant tell shes loosing anything..

err.. i guess its like in your face thing because i have will power to loose weight myself and she had the bypass surgery.

another comment i get all the time is wow you dont look like you weigh that much lol.. yea im a tall girl so i can carry my weight well

When I joined the Army I was 5'8 and 210 pounds. My nickname was Staypuff (as in the marshmellow man). Even when I was all the way down to 175 I was STILL considered fat and overweight by the Army, and I was eventually discharged because I just couldn't meet their weight requirements.

I have many, but the one's that stand out the most are:

About 5 years ago this woman's daughter walked up to me, put her hand on my lower belly (what I call my pouch) and said "baby?" The girls mother was so embarassed and apologetic.

That same year, I had to swing by a partner's office and as I am standing there talking to him, his admin comes out and says "offer her a seat, can't you see she is pregnant?" I was mortified because it was in front of business partners who knew I wasn't pregnant. When I left the building I got into my car and started to drive; I just broke down and cried so uncontrollably my fiance came to pick me up and leave my car on the side on road.

Not too long ago, my aunt was ordering our volunteer shirts for the American Cancer Society. She said she couldn't get any XXL because not many men need them that big, and certainly none of the women are "that big". To top it off, she called me a few days after that to tell me my cousin gained 70 pounds since the last she saw him but she thinks I am still the biggest in the family.

I have one, come to think of it. So i'm coming home from school..(im 14 btw) and im in the elevator going upstairs and i start talking to this older woman. and like right before she leaves shes like "expecting?" I was so embarrased I just said yes and smiled

My nephew (4 years old): "Why are you so fat? Why is your chest big like that?" His mother is a size 4 ...... I'm a size 18W

Okay.. I know I've already posted a big one but I just got hit by a double whammy yesterday and it seemed to go with the current theme of things.

I'm shopping and this 86 year old woman starts talking to me about her whole life, loves and everyone she knows and then compares me to the largest woman she ever knew who she then says was "A BIG woman like me*. Ugh. I just chalked it up to senility. *giggles*

A few hours after that my little girl looks up at me in front of a bunch of our long time friends and says "Mom, you look pregnant". Talk about humiliation. Kids do say the darnedest things. Where is the duct tape when you need it.?!? *giggles* I'm teasing.

Seriously both experiences were embarrassing/humbling, especially since I've worked hard losing 35 pounds so far and was starting to feel pretty good about it. I must have been Orca fat before, if no one is really noticing or I'm still considered "BIG". It almost makes ya feel just a bit defeated and definitely helps deflate the self esteem sails. It also doesn't help that I seem to be stalling right now, but I'm going to get through it all, in spite of it all!

By the time I am thin, fat will be in!

Those who indulge buldge!

I am not fat, I am fluffy!

I am not overweight, I am under tall!

I may be fat, but your ugly and I can diet!

My mom used to tell me when I was little to tell the other kids "I can always loose weight, but there is nothing you can do about that face!"

After looking at my wedding pictures, my cousin commenting on how "PLUMP" I look, and then my Aunt... (my cousin's mom) spreading lies to family friends about me being pregnant and those family friends then calling MY MOM to ask how far along I am.

I was embarassed, mad, hurt... bleh.

Or when they exaggerate and say that the other person weighs like 450+lbs. when they really weigh a lot less than that...makes me wonder what they say about me.
