Sorry, Love2lose... I guess MasterRahl's post succeeded in hijacking your thread - I (and probably the others following it before me) was indeed responding to that, not your, question.
... ...what was your question again (runs to look) ...Oh... had not even read it yet!!

You answer - I'd juice probably something like a V7, (leave out the not allowed's if not advanced to the rung yet) but leave all the fiber in the juice if appropriate, and or have solid food as well as the juice, and incorporate any leftover juicing produce into the side dish. No I have not ever actually done it, save for squeezing my own lemonade/limeade.

        Re: Powerjuicing your veggies

Sounds real complicated to me. Much simpler just to follow the book.

I, too, have recently bought the same juicer. We didn't care for the veggies juiced, and I juice fruit for ds and dh on the occasions they want something. Jack looks great for his age but you have to remember it isn't the juice that got him there. It's the hours a day of working out that he has done since he was a teenager. You could use it to make your own tomato sauce - just use the pulp in the sauce, too.

now, for making sauce, or smoothies, would there be any advantage to the power juicer over a blender or food processed, I wonder?

Oh no! This was a terrible misunderstanding.

I really hope you are not gone for good! Hopefully you'll be back and read this so you'll see that the other posters were replying to MasterRahl who rudely interjected into your thread with a plan that is not even close to Atkins.

I hope you give us a second chance. You'll find that people are really supportive here and generally kind in their responses.

You aren't the only one that got mixed up. I thought the same person who was the OP also posted that liquid diet garbage. And that couldn't be further from the truth!

I recently bought one of these, too, and I will use it to juice tomatoes for spaghetti sauce and such (just be sure to use the pulp), and for my family to drink fruit juice.

Anyway, I'm sorry that there was any misunderstanding.

                  Re: Powerjuicing your veggies

I am a juicer and abosoultely LOVE it! However, there is a time and place for it. When you are on this diet I would say not to do it. The best thing you can get out of juicing is the cleanse! So, my advice would be for you is to set a goal for an amount of weight and then cleanse for a couple days to a week then jump right back on the diet and get back into ketosis on induction. I plan on doing this (or the master cleanse) once I drop 30 more lbs.
