    Norah - It's great to see that you made it back to the gym! Way to go, you beat the hardest part.. walking through the door!

    Jen (Focus) - I'm sorry to hear about the strike issues, and about you being late for work because of it. Seems like the meal part of your days are going well though? Chicken wings.. MMMmmm.. I made those lastnight, but the only problem is, I can't ever seem to make enough! I always think.. they will make a great snack for the next day.. yeah right! Maybe one day I'll get to have them as a snack? lol

    Well - Congrats on your continued weight loss! You're doing awesome! I know exactly what you mean about losing about 40lbs and not knowing if you'll be happy when you get there or not, as I have 40lbs left to go, but I could decide to stop when I lose another 30lbs or possibly will want to lose more than 40lbs? I won't know until I get closer to goal and see how I look and feel at that weight.

    Cara - Flea markets are fun. My dh and I use to go every Sunday to the one here. We still like to go, just not every week as we're trying to do other things as well. Plus you find going week after week, most of the people still have the same junk lol.. so if we space it out some, we tend to see some new junk. You know.. someone's junk is another person's treasures! I wish you success with your sale. Garage sales are another fun thing we like to do, or I should say my dh is a freak for! LOL Pleased to hear that the gym is going well for you and your dh too! Keep it up.. and get your Ipod back!

    Monie - I am so happy to hear that you're having a way better start this time, then you have had in the past. There are some great recipe's on Linda's pages.. I have tried a few and will definitely try more of them in time. I hope you're evening went well.

    Update.. my visit with my Mom, Aunt & Uncle went very well or at least as well as could be expected considering the current situation. The only reason I even got to see them, is because my Aunt had to travel here to go to our fancy hospital in the big city to have heart surgery. She is scheduled to have it tomorrow, and tomorrow is also my Mom's birthday. We are praying that my Aunt will get through this with flying colours and be back on her feet in no time. My Mom went for support as my Aunt wanted her there. They stopped long enough to have lunch with us, got a few pictures in, exchanged gifts and box's full of goodies, gave hugs and kisses and poof** they were gone. But my Mom did comment on my weight loss and my very small bum! It was quite funny.. she was like.. Where did your A S S go? hahaha Too funny! She praised me alot and my Aunt told me to keep up whatever I was doing! I just wish the visit was longer, but better short than not at all. My Mom said she will probably be back here next month, as she is picking up one of my nephews to take back to Alberta to visit her for a lil bit. So more reason to keep plugging along! Today was very stressful for me, as I got a promotion at my work and today was day one of training! I go in on Friday for the second part of the training, however on Friday I'm on my own for the 1st 3.5hrs! YIKES! I hope I don't mess up. Today also marked the start of my long stretch of work.. in the next 10 days, I will get one day off! ~phew~ I think I counted in 14 I get 3 off. Ohh well.. more money right? hahaa

    Anyways.. enough blabbin.. I'm happy to see you're all doing great in your own ways and I hope the rest of the week finishes off strongly for you all.

      Cara - well done on doing more exercise, i wish i had as much motivation as you. I hope this weekend i will be able to do one of my workout dvds for some reason ive got it into my head i want to try yoga, im not very stable and think maybe that will give me some more balance and the flexibility wouldnt hurt either.

      Monie - well done on getting to day 3, i find the first 2 days the hardest. especially the second day, i get very grumpy from carb withdrawal lol and snap at everyone i see. even my manager knows to not talk to me when ive been on my 2nd day of induction lol keep it up, remember we are all here for you i love reading lindas recipes but im so not good at following instructions when it comes to cooking i need pictures for every step just to make sure im doing it right now. But i think you got the right idea having variety in your meals.

      sham - i dont know how you can survive on one meal a day? i plan out my meals and to be honest i dont eat breakfast but a midmorning snack but thats not because i dont want to. its just i dont want to be eating mcd breakfast everyday and i dont have enough time to cook something at home. how much exercise are you doing?

      sassy - glad you had a good time with your family and sorry about your aunt. sounds like you are going to be a very busy lady congratulations on the promotion.

      as for me its my 1 month atkins anniversary for me today i know its not much but to be honest ive not stuck at this diet for longer than a week before so this is a huge achievement for me. i still havent introduced exercise into my life except for but will do more this weekend when im free. just been so hectic these past few days, all ive been doing is jumping off trains/tubes and buses anyway hope you all have a great low carb day!! woo!!

        Focus - I was finding an issue with my leg strength. I do Yoga from time to time and it works great for that and balance. Now, I'm focusing more on my core and focusing on my stomach muscles and combining it with cardio.

        Sassy & Norah - DH LOVES flea markets. He's a collector, which drives me crazy, considering our place is a bit small. So now that we're going to sell some things, I couldn't be more happy. Plus, DH wants me to offer some baked goods to "lure" people to our tables.

        Oh and I got my iPod back, but guess who forgot to re-charge it!

          Sassy: You've had such a busy week! Sorry about the stress, hon Sounds like you had a good visit though, and always good to hear positive feedback from your nearest and dearest .... isn't it lovely when the A S S starts to D I S A P P E A R? .... lol

          Focus: 1 mo. anniversary ... w00t! You're over the hump Re: Headaches; you getting enough calcium/magnesium? Maybe you're in need of supplemental minerals. You take any vitamins, etc?

          Sham: Worried about your lack of appetite, hon! I agree it's the plus side of Atkins, but you don't want to take in TOO few calories, either. Got to keep that metabolism humming

          Monie: So glad you're feeling good!

          WK: It's great you're checking in and keeping motivated! This buddy system works

          Caramella: Typical guy! *sigh* My DH does stuff like that all the time Your workout plan sounds really well-balanced. I need to add some upper body stuff to my routine.

          And for all our other Buddies, I say have a great Atkins kind of day!

            Hi Norah i only take a general multivitamin i guess i dont really eat enough cheese or any other diary to make up for it.

              Maybe an added calcium/magneisum supplement would help, then (it's important to take them as a combo since they work together) ... worth a shot, and they're not expensive. Just a suggestion

                  Skipped the gym today .... waiting around for the electrician to come and fix our hot water heater which is running but not making any hot water . Other than that, it's all good. Have a great Atkins day!

                            Hi buddies been busy today went shopping took over 3 hours roaming around shops and my legs ache but its good 4 me.I used to love getting compliments but im at a stage where its getting to me abit today 5 ladies at my sons school stop me and ask how u lost the weight i had to explain to all how the diet goes and it gets personal they ask how much u lost altogether well i like compliments but its getting to me a bit do u feel the same buddies?



                            Hi floodette i understand your concerned 4 me thats sweet but i honestly make a meal eat half and even bin the rest i feel full so quickly and try to eat well keep it up your doing gr8 have a brilliant carb free weekend!



                            Hi Caramella glad things are going good keep on exercising thats the key to sucess in this diet you are determined and focused which is essential you will do well.




                            HI FOCUS I really dont eat that way to lose more i can't eat much i make a meal and bin half because i feel full and sick i keep eating during the day but tiny amounts just not that hungary.You asked me how much exercise i do well mainly i do alot of walking thats not boring and easy i find and once in a while i put an exercise video on and follow that.Congrats on sticking 2 the diet as u stated its your 1 month anniversary well done buddie!Keep going........................

                                i love this thread and all you guys, when i didnt do atkins last time i didnt feel like i belonged on here, just posting randomness and now i feel like i have met some great people in similar boat as me and it really helps to talk about things. keeps me on the straight and narrow

                                wellkept glad you made it to day 7 i think thats a great acomplishment. All that gym work you are doing is going to show great results.

                                Welcome jane, glad you like our buddie thread, we always like new people just post often. it really helps. and there tend to be always someone around to reply back to you hehe

                                sham well done on walking around for 4 hours,i like shopping but even i cant do 4 hours yet. i have these things with my feet, after walking an hour or two they are in so much pain. i think its my weight, cos obviously the people im with dont feel anything but my weight is probably adding extra weight and i just cant handle it right now. this can only improve.

                                ive had a horribly long week this week, so glad its saturday now so i can relax. house is a mess though as ive hardly been in it. lots of chores to be doing to keep me busy and always from food lol have a wonderful days lovelies.
