    Good Morning Buddies

    Sham - I have not seen my Mom as of yet. She is due to arrive in town in a couple of hours. My dh figures she will be very pleased to see how I look. I have to say, in a weird kind of way, I am nervous! LOL I'm sure it will go well. Thank you for your kind wishes though.

    Jen (Focus) - Thank you my friend. I hope she will be pleasantly surprised. I also hope I look skinnier in our pictures, well at least I should compared to a year ago! Wow.. to think I was over 225lbs.. that's crazy! Jen, Apple Jacks are a cereal. LOL.. definitely not Atkins friendly. Full of sugar and more sugar.

    Well - Congrats on the 3lbs lost, for going to the gym, and for recognizing your weaknesses. Stay strong my friend. We're here for you. In regards to the link.. you're most welcome.

    I'm pleased to report.. I am down 1lb for a total now of 53lbs lost! Maybe by the end of this week I'll be down to 169? That would be cool!

      Hi there firstly to WELLKEPT32 i do hope you get the willpower to stick to the diet for your sake your at day 3 give it a few more days your cravings should gi i hope so.I have had days when my sons and hubby order pizza eat it at the front of me and i now dont care if im tempted i will taste a bit of the topping but i dont go over my limit and im telling u this because pizza is my weakness well i should say was my weakness just think about your goal dont give in i thought i will never be in the 180's but hey nearly staring the 170's.stick to it NO CHEATING PLEASE.







      Hi focus nice 2 hear from you firstly im from birmingham and didn't know about the strike mind u we get them regularly don't we? Anyway those headaches of mine are getting milder.I did half an hour of exercise today usually im lazy so happy on that part weight same waiting for the 1lb now to go.I know what u mean i have been addicted to the scales the whole 11 months i guess we want an award 4 our efforts quickly and be impatient.You also asked me how i felt when i never lost some well i was unhappy used to cut down on food eat 1 meal a day until results came but i have stalled 4 weeks hang in there it slows down.

        well done on your 1lb loss sassy, thats brilliant!! keep up the good work and enjoy your lunch, theres nothing to be nervous about. your mum cant wait to see you either

        sham headacnes keep coming on and off strong trying to block them out but not working. are you taking any meds for them? i dont like taking tablets if they dont stop soon i might resort to. i know what you mean about cutting food out, last time i was doing this diet i would survive on barely anything some days just a yoghurt would be enough. this time im trying not to starve myself but with this diet i do experience less hunger.

          Hi Buddies! Got to the gym this morning ... finally. One hour, 3.5 miles, 300 calories burned (according to the treadmill). The gym owner, Debie, sez: "Hey! Where ya been?" I reply: "Slacking off." (Not entirely true; just not doing "turbo walking."). Sez Debie: "Eh ... everybody does that!" So I didn't feel too bad

            Hi again buddies FOCUS im sorry your still fetting the headaches i still do aswell theres a balm called 4head and you put some on the forehead it cools the head abit well makes a bit of a difference if you don't like tabs try that you get it from the chemist.Your also in the uk you will find it at local chemist tell me if it works.




            Hi SASSY you must have met your mum by now curious to know how it went bet you were happy to see eachother well everyone loves their mum but you had not seen her in a year must be an emotional moment.Keep it up buddy your doing brilliant and your inspiring me!

              afternoon all, horrible morning ive had. the transport in london today is down as people are on strike. So i woke up at 6am and left at 6.40 only to get to work for 9.45 which means i was late. not impressed one bit. apart from that ive been good atkins wise ate some mini sausages and a cheesestring for breakfast/mid morning snack and then had some chicken wings and veg for lunch

              well done norah on getting back to the gym, thats great, the hardest part is going back after a break

              cant wait for sassy to come back to see how her meeting with her mum went

              sham thanks for that, i think its slowly going away naturally anyway. do you have a fitday account? i would love to see what you have been eating regularly.

                Omg! I am so happy. Today is day 5 and have lost another 1.5 lbs. I think i am finally finding my inner strength. Last night went out to dinner To the Wood Ranch and the party I ws with had a blossom off battered onion ring, Bread balls the were topped with melted butter and basil garlic and salt. I am proud to say I made it thru. Finally after 6 attempts at this induction phase i am finally achieving the goal i have set for myself. I must say I owe a lot of it to this forum and the buddies i chat with. So Thanks.

                    Focus83, I want to lose about 40 pounds. I say about because if i am not satisfied with the way i look it may b 5-10 pounds more.! Thats why we are here to help eachother .U tooo help keep me motivated

                          Hi everyone! Been a few days since I posted on here. Things have been so busy. DH and I are getting ready for a flea market on Saturday. It'll be nice to get rid of some of the old wedding stuff that's just been sitting in the closet.

                          I've been working on doing more strength exercises lately. I'm totally wiped out. I'm off to gym with DH once this work day is over. Hopefully, I can steal my iPod back from him!

                          How are you all doing?

                              Hi there CARAMELLA i can see you and focus and floodette are viewing this page hope you all ok hi especially to you the market selling sounds fun i used to go years back to a car boot market on weekend time flies there be's so many stalls and the atmosphere is exciting used to love it now haven't been in years.Good luck anyway.

                                hey buddies!!!! hope everyone is doing well. i've been doing good. today is day 3, and i am actually feeling pretty good. i don't know if i should say it(don't want to jinx myself), but i think this time the induction flu has not hit me like it usuallt does. i've felt pretty good so far. i've done really well with my foods so far, although yesterdays carb count was a little lower after i entered them in fitday today than i thought they would be. (had internet problems last night so had to wait til this evening to log them in.)

                                last night for dinner i made a recipe from linda's site that was pretty good thought i'd share the link Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes
                                it was really good, i added some chopped mushrooms to the mix too.

                                tonight i think i'll fix another recipe from her site i found for pork chops.
                                i'll let ya know how they turn out.

                                well, i'd better get dinner started. hope all is doing well. i'll try to check back in later tonight.
