I totally can relate! It's tough getting in the right mindset, but I think you're approaching it the right way, and you're very brave to discuss these issues with all of us. Have you had your thyroid checked?

Yeah, long time ago. Maybe I should have it done again? Its hard right now because DH is laid off and we don't have health insurance anymore.

When I go to the movies, I do the old fashioned "dinner and a movie" thing. So I start with a nice meal at a restaurant or at home before the movie. And when I mean a nice meal, I mean a nice leisurely meal: nothing that I have to toss down in 15 minutes then rush to buy my tickets and find a seat. A good satisfying meal. Then I go to the movie.

I don't buy anything in movie theater, like drinks,---never did, because I'm cheap and I can't imagine spending over $2 for a bottle of water I can buy it for 1/2 the price and because I'm particular----movie theaters are germy, imo, you're packed in with alot of other people, some people are coughing up a lung, some are sniffling/sneezing infected mucus---it's always freaked me out to eat anything in a movie. theater. Anyhow, I make sure I'm well hydrated before I arrive. Then after the movie, if necessary, I'll have a decaf coffee/tea or a diet drink. And I also walk around afterwards: especially if the theater is in a mall, because sitting for 2 or 3 hours is too long for me and I need to stretch my legs.

For my first two weeks on induction, I couldn't get enough to eat. Same thing as you... I'd eat and half an hour later I'd be wanting more to eat.

Rather than actually being hungry, however, I believe it was carb withdrawal symptoms. My body was crying out for a big bad dose of processed ANYTHING!

No... I don't want another piece of meat... I want a plate full of fried rice thank you very much.... and how about some candy for dessert?

I managed to stick it out, and eventually everything started to shift.... mood... energy level... cravings... appetite.

I have always been a popcorn monster (that and pastry are my weakness), I love that crunch and the pork rinds or even some bacon thats fried crisp would work for me!

I like sugar snap peas and cheese sticks, beef sticks, and I always sneak in a bottle of water. It embarrasses my son to death but I don't care. Before, we'd spend more money at the concession stand than for the movie tickets.
