I always chose to take the negativity of others as just that much motivation on those tough days to ensure I was successful, and that I could eventually rub their face in it. I still use it to prevent the "looks" when even internal motivation is lagging. I realize not everyone likes being chastised or being a spokesperson, but being proved right over and over again as they fail on their diets is great feeling.

Mean but true. I don't mind saying I am vain, and not even doing it for my health in the first place! That I actually eat real food and got healthy is merely a side-effect!
