    Are you using the online version of FitDay?

      I have a confession. I have never even thought of plugging in my spices. I mean I always count my splenda. I just never thought about the spices I add to my cooking. I guess when you divide a tsp by like 6 servings it isn't much but it can add up that is for sure. Anyway thanks for reminding me. I may have to make some adjustments. It hasn't stalled me but you never know.

        Hi Brandy!

        Really?!?!?! After last nights adventure, I was thinking this morning I'll never make soup again....I need easy...sorry to sound lazy but I'm being honest! Thankfully Georgiana stepped in and helped me out (I really appreciated that more then I can express)....I was second guessing myself the whole way through.

        To be honest, I'm still confused on how to have one serving and not have more carbs in it then I should...for example....if I dish out an 8 oz serving...how much of that should be broth and how much should be actual vegetables and meat to equal the amount Fitday said a serving should equal (carb wise). Thankfully I've got the hang of Fitday with food that is cooked seperately but food mixed together, I can't wrap my mind around it .....that's why I don't make stews and stuff anymore

        I will have to go into Fitday and try to find this feature, that you soooooo much Brandy for taking the time to direct me to this feature, I really appreciate the help!

        Have a great remainder of the weekend!

          Did you subtract fiber?

          Onion itself is a carby vegetable, so grinding it down would make a carby powder!

          >>I'm stunned!!!!>>

          See the advantage of carb counting from day 1?

          <smile>
          Yes, I did that lasnight...I just didn't post it when I wrote to you...even with subtracting the fiber it's still high...it comes to 5.17

              With something like this, I wouldn't worry too much about getting the carb details 100% accurate.

              The simple reality is ... you're not going to be able to ... outside of a laboratory.

              The important thing is to keep the big picture in mind!

              If you have a piece of celery in your bowl, and the next time you have two pieces, that's not really going to "ruin" anything.

              >>that's why I don't make stews and stuff anymore>>

              That's a shame. There's no reason to make cooking and enjoying food any more complicated that it needs to.

              Maybe you need to work on the concept of total carbs divided by servings ... and let the smaller pieces fall where they may?
