    Re: Gaining weight?

You can always look for a multi vitamin or even a prenatal that may have potassium in it and take that along with the potassium supplement. I don't know which low carb foods have potassium in them

      Re: Gaining weight?

This is not my recipe it's off here kind of like mini quiches These would be great for breakfast on the go. I made them the other night, not bad. I used cheddar, if I make them again I'll use pepper jack, they needed a kick.

      3 eggs
      70 grs heavy cream (2.46 oz) 5tbsp
100 grs Cream cheese (3.52 oz)
      50 grs bacon (1.76 oz)---approx 7 slices cooked
90 grs edam cheese (3.17 oz) approx 3/4c
      salt
Whip the whites and keep in the fridge.
Mix the yolks with the soft cheese, the cream, salt, grated edam cheese and minced bacon (I first fried it in a pan without oil).
Mix carefully the mixture with the whites.
Bake in oven, 20 minutes, 190ºC (374 farenheit)
Makes 9 muffins .9 carbs per muffin

There is nothing written that you have to have "breakfast food" for breakfast. We often eat leftovers like that cabbage soup, or what about some hard boiled eggs and a flax muffin, it takes a minute to nuke. What about an egg nog, couple eggs, splash of cream, splash of water, and some vanilla or other flavoring and a pack or two of splenda.

I need to go and check out that Atkins Diet. Obviously they are giving out some really strange information. Well, they push those bars and shakes and all they do is stall folks so I'm not surprised/

We can do this my friend.

Where did the OP write that the recipes are from Atkins.com?

normastrand, the soup looks okay if those are all the ingredients.

What is the recipe you used for flax bread? That might be fine for Induction, too.

Here is the recipe for the bread

            2 cups flax seed meal
            1 Tablespoon baking powder
            1 teaspoon salt
1-2 Tablespoons sugar equivalent from artificial sweetener
            5 beaten eggs
            1/2 cup water
            1/3 cup oil
            Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Prepare pan (a 10X15 pan with sides works best) with oiled parchment paper or a silicone mat.

              Re: Gaining weight?

How are you doing? Is it going OK

The recipe looks OK. There is a difference between the Atkins company recommendations and us when it comes to flax. We recommend it being used just as a fiber addition - and in small quantities. The company have decided that flax is an allowed food on induction.
How much of that is a serving?

                  Re: Gaining weight?

As Liv said, the recipe does seem 'legal' as long as you are not overdoing the flax (linseed outside USA). Induction amounts really should be around one or 2 tablespoonsworth, with larger amounts being OK as a rung 3 (nuts/seeds level of OWL) addition.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
