    Hello all

its week six now and for the last 3 weeks i have showed no weight loss on the scales at all, i am following the diet to the t marking everything down and weighing it all very carefully and following the rules of induction exactly, i also am drinking approx 2 to 2.5 lts of water plus a couple of cups of tea or coffee each day, also over the last three weeks i have started to walk several miles a day 3 times a week, could anyone suggest why no weight loss has happened as its disheartning to put in all the effort for no reward. i feel i am in ketosis as i can taste it in my mouth,
the strange thing is the first 3 weeks there was no exercise but weight came off.
Hi - im new to atkins - confused but with the help of this forum im looking forward to to life long success - 18 st at start of induction, uk resident.

      Re: Weight Loss

here are my calculations based on what i think i have learnt

      Breakfast - 2 egg omlette = 1.2 net
      2 oz cheese = 2.0 Net

Snack - 1 no tuna muffin - 1 net ea

      Lunch - 1 oz lettuce = 0.4 net
      1 oz green pepper = 2.4 net
      1 oz cucum = 1.0 net
      1 oz Spring Onion = 1.2 net
      tuna = 0 mayo 2 tbsp = 0.8 net

Snack - 1 no tuna muffin - 1 net ea

      Evening Meal
      pork chop = 0
      3 oz sprouts - 3.9 net
      Cauliflower 2 oz = 1.5 net

      1 cup Coffee = 0.8
      cream = 0.4
      sucralose 2 tsp = 1.0

18.6 net carbs - most of this info is taken from the packaging , and if im slightly under i will prob hav 1 oz cheese after evening meal 1.0 net

      19.6 net carbs

      thanks hope this helps

            Re: Weight Loss

Your carb counts seem a bit off:

Fitday has 1 ounce of green pepper (raw) at 1.3 total carbs and 0.48 fiber for .82 net carbs. You had 2.4.

Where are you getting your carb counts?

What do you mean by "sprouts"? Brussels, alfafa?

                Re: Weight Loss

sorry forgot to say omelette cooked in oil and olive oil is added to the tuna salad and butter added to sprouts.

i am getting my info off the pack and weighing it exactly - (brussel sprouts) and if i was using usda then i would be under even more which is even more confusing

                  Re: Weight Loss

it is perfectly normal to have a scale weight loss hesitation after the initial large loss. Atkinseers call it PISS but if you are checking your measurements you will see that you are still shedding inches of body fat even when the scales don't move.

Keep working your atkins. Check and be sure you are getting all the vits and minerals you need cause at 17 you are still developing your body too and being deficient in a vit and/or mineral can cause your weight loss to stop.

what is in your no tuna muffin?

                    >>i am getting my info off the pack>>

That's not always the best source there is. Though in the UK, the labels are more reliable. If you're in the UK, then why aren't you measuring in grams?

                    >>if i was using usda then i would be under even more which is even more confusing>>

That was my point ... you're undereating.

Also ... your body may be telling you it's time to move to OWL, but first you need to make sure you're eating enough on Induction.

thanks 2big - i am taking 400 mg chrom - a vitamin tablet no iron - and also having a primrose oil tablet and a tsp of flaxseed oil daily

tuna muffin is only tuna - 2 eggs - 2 oz cheese - spices
after adding it all up and dividing by amount made = 1 net ea

                          Re: Weight Loss

i only have oz weights so for 25 grams i usually use 1 oz and when its spot on i take a bit out which for the purpose should be accurate enough.

i can only go off the packaging surely thats accurate
