    Good point

Remember you can always use the 'ignore' feature if someone really gets up your nose and you don't want to read anything they post.

To do this go to your control panel (User CP) and scroll down toclick on the 'ignore' link and add that member to it.

Of course it would mean you would miss anything useful they post, so you need to weigh up the pro's and con's before doing it.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

So you used her as an example and you think that is showing respect, don't you?

Again, what if I like the posts that you find rude? Why are your likes more important than mine? Or should we all complain whenever we there we are offended by a post? That would give the moderators here a lot of work! There would be more complaints than Atkins posts.

As for the "Amen", that is exactly the point I was trying to make. Some of those members seem to have a lot of experience based on their joining date, nevertheless they don't help newbies in the forums. They just whine.

And Peytonn, I was not referring to you when I wrote my previous post or this one. I apologize if there was any misunderstanding.

Good job for getting back on track!

good advice Elizellen.. ... but.. the only problem with the 'ignore' button.. is if you're reading a thread... and somebody responds to somebody you're ignoring... then their post makes no sense either....

(I tried it on another board once... I just learned to block out the one I knew would get on my nerves)

Elizellen... for all the many years I've been in and out of here... I can honestly say your have been the epitome of class... always helpful... and can disagree... or offer your opinion... without putting anyone on the defensive..

(I honestly wish I could be more like you... and know how to say things 'right'... because I have been known to get snippy sometimes myself.. )

Sorry my friend, couldn't help the levity!

I'll go sit in the corner now!

shoot.. I was at the other place even before THAT join date... and I did it RIGHT back in the day.. was down to 135.. then I felt so strong.. I felt invincible I guess.. and blew it.. (and don't even remember exactly WHEN I got so fat again... hung around 155-165 until this thyroid cancer thing happened)

so.. I'm kinda like black sheep.. nobody listens to me anyway...

now there ARE some VERY VERY VERY VERY nice people here... THAT's why I came back.. and in a way.. the crabby ones make me work harder.. so someday I can grow up and be a successful one.. that knows the answers..

Now if we could only block someone from answering our own posts, maybe the problem would be solved.

but if you block them.. you wouldn't even know they answered it.. would you?

or am I just confused again?

Re: The Purpose of Bulletin Boards

I was away most of the day and I see this thread just grew bigger and bigger.

I think it should be clear to everybody why it was locked. Let's all go back to helping members with Atkins advice. If you have any comments or concerns, please direct them to one of the moderators or administrators.
