Thanks Fisch for your blog, I love the pics and recipes!!! I'm one of those people who aren't tastefully creative with food, so I thank you, I bookmarked it.

I went home and looked at the ingredients on my meat snack sticks and they have 1 gram of sugar.
With sugar/dextrose/etc on the ingredients list that makes it non-Atkins
Then I looked at our ranch salad dressing.....1 gram of sugar also, but that's okay?

        Why is that?
Is the sugar in the dressing on the list of ingredients or just on the nutrition panel? If just on the nutrition panel then it is fine for Atkins as it is not added sugar but natural sugar/carbs from the eggs and other ingredients etc in the mayonnaise.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

because sugar on the nutrtion label can be naturally occurring like in vegies fruits and some shellfish. the sugar we avoid is the sugar in the ingredients lists.

Your DH is going great shrinking and making the change. have you got him exercising? that is what will help him shed body fat at a steady rate cause the more he moves around the more his out put will exceed his input for refueling.

Also even if he isn't exercising he can be adding lean body mass in the form of muscle tissue growth which unfortunately his scale will not know isn't body fat so that can mask actual body fat losses on the sclaes but those inches will tell him it is added muscle mass showing on the scales.
