    Dave my book has 103 and I read it yesterday so don't whine

    2big ..you know me...once we stop talking about food being gastronimic pleasure and start talking about metabolic things I have to move on ...

          OK, I wanna say what a great idea this is and thanks for caring about people.
          I'd been meaning to get started on the book again yadda yadda yadda.
          I feel like I'm in Oprah's book club LOL.
          Anyway, reading the preface and right away I see on P.xii start of first paragraph-
          "People were taught to regard sugary cereals as health food".
          Now, there's a breakfast cereal here in Europe called "Kellog's Special K" which is marketed very much as a health food and has it's own weight loss marketing drive.
          When I was off Atkins I bought a pack and thought that it tasted very sweet. I checked the ingredients and the second biggest ingredient is SUGAR!!!
          And this is marketed as a health food!!!
          You just can't believe anything any more!
          Anyway, back to the book.

            would that be me or did someone else snag my tag?

            it is not like I don't believe or understand the whole metabolic stuff..it is just my priority of interest in this thing stops at the food and how hot Dr Atkins actually was ..we can talk about that for hours..the metabolic stuff while important to most sensible folks....does not apply to what hooked ...hooks...and forever will keep me hooking (yup) this style of eating

                I think I'll write that out and stick it up somewhere.
                When I'm putting on weight, my self-confidence nosedives, I feel heavy, no energy, I think less of myself, I've a big belly, I don't wanna be naked with my partner and I often don't even want to leave the house! I know with every bite that I'm doing my heart and health damage.

                Right, that's it, will deffo write that out! Woohoo, here we go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                        Is it too late for me to join too? Would love to follow a discussion while reading. Might have to read while walking the dogs, to find the time...so hope I don't trip and break a leg, but yes... pls sign me up!

                            my God I never would have thought things would change as much as they have ..I can brag about what I eat now share it with everyone and feel good about myself.....it changed my life...now I do not feel like a chubby drug pusher with a cake in my hand!!!

                              1. you will get the button upon completion of our read.

                              2. post when you have a question, comment, when you get done with a part, whenever. i imagine sometimes you will have a question and sometimes not. the purpose for the list in the second post is so i know who gets the button at the end and who doesn't.

                              3. it's summer where most of us are. sorry man.

                              ps. my experience is that if we drag it out, people will drop away. this is meant for comminttment. i believe 93 pages is very doable.
