    This challenge has been a great re-evaluation of myself.

    When I first started my journey 3 years ago, It took me a while to realize that I was important enough to do this for ME and not worry for the first time in over 30 years that its ok to think about yourself first and not the kids or husband. Well, I did a lot the first two years for me. I changed my life-style with eating healthy, exercising, getting involved in many activiites and enjoyed myself.

    The past year I've taken a step back and began doing for others first and ignoring myself. I've stayed on my WOE, but I've started drifting back into putting my exercise and pampering last.

    This challenge has renewed my committment to myself and I once again realize in order to be the best mom, wife, sister, grandma - I need to make myself happy and healthy first. I'm back and feeling worthy of being the best I can be for me and it will flow over into all areas of my life.

    I look forward to a happier and healthier life without the stress of feeling guilty over putting my needs first. I know that when I am happier and feeling my best, the woe works better for me. My mind is filled with contentment and it shows in everything I do and all my relationships.

      We Will Succeed

      1. Examine your journal entries. Tell what changes in attitudes, feelings, etc. you may have had over the course of the past 7 or 8 days. Tell how this WOE and the feeling of BEING WORTH IT, will help you take control of stay on track. Tell of any insights or AH HA! moments you might have had during the time of this challenge.

      My thinking has changed as to what foods I want to put in my body. Sometimes I worry about the cost of things, or wasting food, or being a "pain", but I finally realized that I AM WORTH IT. I am worth spending an extra buck or two at the grocery store. I am worth throwing out the LC yogurt even if I'm technically wasting it. I am worth the effort of putting only the best foods into my body. I have no doubts that I will stay on track--I'm more committed than ever.

      2. What positive changes are you looking forward to as you continue to make you journey doing Atkins?

      I'm hoping that I continue to feel as good as I've been feeling for the past couple of days. I really do think my sullen mood was a "detox" from the LC foods/additives I had been used to. Now I feel at ease, I feel calm, I feel energetic, I feel CLEAN.

      I also plan on posting improved pictures in another month. I want to keep working on my body to try to make it the healthiest, strongest, fittest thing it can be.

      As with the assignments use your journal and use this thread to post your answers. See, the journaling had a purpose.

          My attitude I suppose has gotten better. I was going through a blah period but now I feel more motivated. I learned that whatever I may be feeling about this diet, my weight, this board, etc that others have or do feel the same and I'm not alone.

          2. What positive changes are you looking forward to as you continue to make you journey doing Atkins?

          I'm looking forward to increased health and conditioning.

            I didn't realize how seldom I use these 2 forums. I'll definitely go back.

            I love to help with questions and problems when I can. I seem to always be a cheerleader for moving on to OWL, using Fitday, and more veggies.

                For me, the change has been in my worth to the board. I know that I deserve to be healthy and happy. But now I also know that, even though I'm a newbie, I still can be valuable to fellow board members and an ambassador to the Atkins WOL!

                2. What positive changes are you looking forward to as you continue to make you journey doing Atkins?

                To continue to feel better and better. To continue to pay it forward. To continue to be a better person. That sounds cheesy, but it's true! I think this WOL makes me a better person all around!!! Healthier and happier.

                  1.) It took this challenge to show me that "I am worth it" to ask for help,(hard for me to do that), and to see how many kind people that are willing to do just that."I am worth it" getting healthy and fit-FOR ME! I am worthy of this woe because it works and made me realize it will be a life time commitment to myself. I'm the kind of person that puts everyone first. This wol helped me realize that it's o.k. to put ME first. This challenge helped me get back on track once and for all. 2.) I'm looking forward to a healthier, more vibrant and more attractive me. I'm looking forward to giving back of what I've learned thus far doing Atkins and all the benefits that go along with it. I'm looking forward to making new freinds here.

                    Sorry so late finishing up my assignments! Things have been pretty hectic around here lately and I've been working 12 hour days. Yucky!

                    So anyway, I've recieved alot of positive comments especially from my husband who is great and tells me all the time that Im looking thinner, healthier, and I seem happier. My co-workers have started to notice as well, which says alot because we all wear scrubs everyday (not very flattering). It keeps me motivated and helps lift me up to the challenges I face everyday. Its getting easier everyday, and the positive comments really help.

                    As for the negative comments, I basically go with, the standard " All that matters is that I feel great and it works for me". I dont get too much in the way of negative responses. Some of my family does try to push food on me when we eat together, but I just tell them that I'll pass, because Im making healthier choices for myself. That usually ends the conversation. I have gotten alot of the "eating all that meat isnt healthy for you" and I simply tell them that they are misinformed, and that I eat more veggies now than I ever have in my life. Everyone is pretty supportive overall.

                          Well, this challenge has really opened up my eyes to alot of things. Namely that I really am worth it, and an ah-ha moment for me was when I was writing all of little inspirational notes to myself. I needed that little boost to reassure myself that I am strong and I can do this! I also really enjoyed the openess and honesty of everyone in their homework assignments. We are all in this together and some of you are especially positive and helpful. I appreciate it so much!

                          Some positive changes I look forward to are an improved feeling of self worth and the inspiration to keep going. I love this board so much and I hope to keep contributing in a positive way. This challenge has helped me to come out of my shell a bit. Something I really needed to do!

                              you know, as i sit here and read this so very early in the morning, i am really touched by the comments. not the kudos given to me, although those do sound nice after many many hours of planning and execution, but to see how this affected those that are seasoned and veterns of Atkins as well as those just beginning the journey.

                                Well, I can say that making the conscious effort of reading through inspiring posts and answering made me more committed to the WOE. I was about to give up before this challenge...and now I am in for the long run! I have started monitoring my food intake more carefully with fitday (I bought the PC version so I can use it when I have no internet connection!).
