i am so happy for you sugar, Kell, donna, sassy and doodette! not only scale free during the challenge but you worked the plan so well that you saw losses! VERY WELL DONE!!!

i'm axious now to hear how everyone else has done. looks like we'll have approximately 23 to 25 scale free challenges when all is said and done.

i've not weighed yet. i'm waiting till after i brush my hair, shave my legs [and armpits ] and trim my nails.

scale free but didn't lose this week. But it was close to 4 pounds I lost last week, so I figure it all evens out. I feel fantastic, and even less attached to the scale. It's all about the clothes, baybeee! No one is looking over my shoulder when I weigh!

The tags on my new shirts read L....L Not XL...L!

            Weigh to go, everybody....

(at least weigh, to go today... ) Momtomany - you are sooo right, it's about the clothes!!

I had fun yesterday when no one was looking of course, ie in the BR at the office, not undoing my pants when I pulled them down & up.

This morning a strange phenomenon (it it called recovery from scale addiction?) --I actually was briefly AFRAID to get on the scales to weigh!!
There was the 'great what if' looming in my head that somehow despite looser clothes and "knowing" deep inside how there is absolutely no way there could be a gain this week after TOM's gone, no cheats, no extra salt, done with nail clipping (LOL, Jimmie48 ) etc, I'd be heavier.

NOPE! 172 (173 for practical measuring reasons!!) was my first read. (Tho I may try again after my workout!)

                Hey guys, checking in.

No weight loss this week, but no gain either. I had a planned cheat the day after I finished my induction, so I am glad about that. I have however lost an inch of my waist!

I also lost 4lbs last week, so I guess it averages out. I didn't lose inches last week but did this week!

Lol. I know, I had a slice of birthday cake. I wanted to have a clean induction. Since I have to buy the cake for the office birthday parties (admin assistant) I waited until I was finished with induction. Not making excuses or anything, but I knew I was going to have that once slice and that was going to be that. So I would have lost, but I knew the consequences of eating that slice of cake. But I was right back on Atkins.

Only 1 lb this week , but had a 5 lb loss last week. I was very exhausted all this week, with all the running around attending several Small Groups less walking, and I thought for sure I lost more. I guess I will be walking a little more in spite of the big blister I had and still healing from it. I know it was from walking inclined and possibly not drinking water during exercise. I'm not complaining, I'm happy with the weight loss. All of you did a great job whether you lost or not. You're still winners!
                        THANK YOU

                            Good Morning Challengers
It's wonderful to read through all of your post this morning and see all of your successes, losses or not. You all have all gained some knowlege about yourselves. Which is so important. Knowlege is power! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OF YOU!
I went into this challenge because I am a scale addict. Not only did I give up the scale for 2 weeks, I also gave up the sweetners. I had been on a sweetner fast for 142 days. On July 4th I broke that fast and have been steadily gaining weight. On Sept. 6th I weighed 248.5 lbs. Not only am I a scale addict, I'm a sweetner addict aswell. It promotes mad cravings for me which I can not control. I'm better off without them.
I stayed pretty close to Rung 3 throughout this challenge staying in ketosis the entire time. It was nice to switch focus from the scale to how my body felt. I could feel the physical changes aswell as the mental. No more brain fog and more energy. The two things that Atkins is notorious for.
I too was hesitant to step on the scale this a.m Boonie. I had been enjoying the freedom of the power the scale had over me.
I knew already that I was closer to my ticker weight by trying on "target shorts" that were loose on me yesterday. So why weigh?
But my curiosity got the best of me and I had asked DH to unleash the scale from it's cage in the garage last night, (where he hid it), so I could climb upon it's ugly back so it could spit out my results.
Staring down the metal monster this morning I climbed upon it's back and was pleasantly suprised to see the numbers. I'm back down to 233 lbs., That's a 15.5 lb. loss, 4 pounds from my ticker weight and 13lbs. from goal. The scale is being put back up now for another two weeks. I will weigh every 2 weeks now.
I'm going to continue on with my sweetner fast and just take one day at a time with that.
Thank you again Jimmie for this challenge. It has put me back in control of my Atkins Journey, another chapter in my book.
I'm so glad that I could share this experience with all of you.
                            Sincerely, Sherri

I have not cheated and followed the diet faithfully so....... I am going to just chalk it up as a fluke thing and press on.
                              maybe its water weight?
