    How bout if I do slim in six tonight too! I started(tom) today so I took off from work early. I get really super bad cramps and I take pain meds for them about once a month or two... But, can't drive when I take them so I figure I shouldn't be cutting on anyones hair either!!! Anyway- I am sure I will feel better if I do a workout so in a couple hours I will make that my goal for today- That and gettig the house cleaned~!!

    Yoly- Are you nice and cool yet? I hope so!

    Speedy- WTG on doing the 5K! I am sure you are going to do GREAT!

      Hey guys! The air condition repair guy came out to the house at 6:30 in the morning. He had the new one in and running by 8 when I was walking out the door. I can't wait to get home and walk into a cool house, I put that sucker on 72 just so I can get that extra cool rush first thing. Thank God that I finished those essays and exam today, it is a huge wieght off of my shoulders and now I can slack off a bit until the next round of exams come back. I'll know next week how I did so I'll let you guys know too.

      I am definatly doing slim in 6 when I get home tonite, no doubt about it. I need to jump back in and quickly, before my mind tries to start making excuses for my body. It is really sick how my head works. But before the night is through, I will have gotten my workout in, I can't wait. I've been so stressed out this week it is so nice to finally be done with some of that stuff, phew! I still have a big project at work that is due and I am waiting to hear if I'm gonna have to come in on Saturday or not, hope not because it's jon's birthday, but everything is much better.

      Well I am glad everyone is going good. Sorry Rikki about TOM, that sounds really intense, I have heard that light to moderate excercise does wonder in eleviating cramps even if the last thing you feel like doing is moving.

      Speedy - you are totally living up to your name babe, 5Ks today full marathon tomorrow, keep up the great work.

      Sarah - how are you sweety, I'm gonna go home and log onto aim so if your available we can have a nice long chat, we need to catch up.

        Now recalculate what you need to eat to form a caloric deficit to lose weight {line 7 minus line 6)

        Adding exercise burns more calories, builds muscle mass and metabolism and is advisable to eating 300 calories per day to make up the deficit (as an example). Why not, instead, walk for four miles a day and eat the extra 400 calories?

        Can you guys help me with this? I want to determine how much I COULD actually lose, I've tried this over and over again but I always get some crazy number that makes no sense. I'm trying to figure this out so that I can set up some goals for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas\New Years. Does anyone know how to do it? I know that it explains it step by step, but.....there's something wrong with me because I cant figure it out!!! Help!!!

          So basically You have a total of 97 pounds to lose is that right?? How much of that did you lose on induction???

          I think it comes down to trying to burn off the amout of calories that you need to lose to get to goal.

          Where do you want to be By Christams Say would you like to be down say 20 pounds or more. SO if you take that amount and devide it by the number of weeks say till Christmas you will have a basic number of how many pounds per week to get to that goal. Now tke that number say it's 2 pounds per week and X 3500 you would need to expend 7000 calories per week through exercise and caloric restriction to be on target for your goal of 20 pounds Lets say. You need to find your BMR that is the number of how many caloried your body uses per day. And you will also have to log your food into a food diary. You may want to set up a diary in this one it will actually figure everything out for you which is sooo awesome takes the guess work out of it. You plug in your exercise your food and then you get a report. the sight is www.nutridiary.com it's an excellent one. It will probably take a couple days for you to get used to doing this but it will help you out immencely really.

          SO I hope that helps you out a bit I hate all these calulations. I myself can't depend on a goal cause I'm weird I gues I burn on average 7000 calories or more per week yet I barely ever lose 2 pounds per week. I don't think the formula works for everyone you can only get a basis. So long as you are doing it ruight and feeling good no matter you will get to your goal forsure.

            If you give me the amount of time and what goals you want to hit by then I can calculate them for you but I am not good at explaining!- Sorry-

            This formula- if I am doing it right, doesn't tell you really what you can lose it tells you how many calories you need to eat to get to your goal in your set time...
            Here is how I figured...

            204(current weight) 199(goal by Halloween) I want to lose 5lbs in 25 days. 5lbs=3500cal (#lbs times 3500)so I need to lose 17500 calories by Oct.31. I divide the 17500 by the 25 days and come out with I need a 700 calorie deficeit a day to lose the 5lbs by then.

            The 11 times your weight is just a guideline to tell you what you need to maintain your weight. Mine is 2244, so to lose the weight I need to eat 700 calories less than that(1544). So, In conclusion- I need to eat approxamately 1500 calories a day to get to my goal of 199 in 25 days.


            I tried to explain- I can be confusing sometimes... I hope this helps!!!!!

                    yeah- we could all get online and chitchat while eating our own little cheesecake- yuuummm, cheesecake- WELL, be very very proud folks- I just finished start it up on Slim in Six. I had never done it before so I figured Ibetter not try ramp it up... I liked it- I need some resistance thingys but Other than that all was well. I did have to stopa couple of times for osme water but I will have to say- I am proud of myself for finally getting off of my lazy arse and working out- especially now that tom is here

                    I think we are going to Ocharley's to eat when Bri gets home from work so I better go jump in the shower- I think I will have a nice caesar salad- I don't think I am feeling like having chicken on it- maybe sirloin or maybe just a plain salad... not sure yet... Did yall do SIS?

                      NOPE I ahve never Done Slim in Six I am a running freak I don't like tapes that's just me YA, I do have them but, they sit in the box and just collect dust I know I wouldn't do them if I had them so for me it's a waist of money. LOL I'm glad they do ahve the tapes thoguh cause that's what a lot of people do for exercise I'm just not one of them.

                      Ya wouldn't that be great cahtting eating our cheesecake. I am gunna make one I think on the 12th for the heck of it YUMMY.

                        Hey Rikki, that is awesome that you did slim in six last night! How are you feeling today, are you super sore? Just keep up with it and you will work right through the soreness, and by the end fo the 6 weeks you'll be really impressed with your new muscle toneness, it's an awesome program that I absolutly love. Instead of doing Slim in 6 last night I did my 3 mile walk, I'm gonna do that a few more times and then jump back into Ramp it UP, that tape is kind of hard on my knees and I want to get my body used to excercising again before I start something that challenging.

                        Sarah, 11 months, holy cow! That is awesome, you are almost at a year, that is so increadible. I can't wait until my atkinsversary, it's on December 17th, it is really coming up here soon too, I can't believe it.

                        It is an absolutly gorgeous day today, God gifted me and gave me absolutly gorgeous weathr to celebrate my free day!!! It is in the low 70's outside, Abi even needed a sweater. I have no school and my boss didn't call me this morning so no work either until Monday, yipppeeee. We are having a get together here on Saturday so I have been busy cleaning the house and stuff, but with the windows open and the music on that's more fun then not. Depending on how much work I get done I might count that as my excercise for the day, on Sundays I usually burn about 500 calories cleaning my house! we'll see though. I also have to go get jon's birthday present today, he is a techy and I have absolutly no clue what to get him, I mean none. I am going to walk up and down the aisles at Fry's to see if I see something he would like.

                        I have been craving my cheesecake recipe and I bought everything to make it last night at walmart. I am going to make it today so that I can have something really yummy to eat tomorrow when the birthday cake is being passed around.

                        I better get going, My goal is to have my entire house spotless by noon today, I have to do tons of laundry, straiten up the bedrooms, scrub bathrooms, organize downstairs, sweep and mop. It's gonna be a busy morning but thank God I'm home!!!!

                          WOW that's a lot of house work. YA I got some new pics on My Yahoo if you are at all interested in seeing them I am a picture freak as you all know. There is 11 months of Pictures can't wait till 1 year that will be huge I am sooo proud of myself.

                          I can't stay long got a truckload of kids soon I am gunna be stressed later. OH OH, But it'll be all right I'll get through it all I HOPE.

                                OK- I posted very quickly earlier- You have came a long way Sarah!!!! I am very proud of you and thanks for being such an inspiration and motivator to me!!!! You look so much smaller in the doorway in the 2nd pic!!!!! what a difference!!!!!

                                Yoly- I am not too sore, I am a little but I think some of it is from jogging the other day too. I am going to try to get up early and do it again, we will see Don't strain too much doing all that housework!!! Thats what I am doing tonight and I better get back to it!!!!
