jsj-- you can measure, but the only measurements that count are the ones at the beginning and the end of the challenge! The awards are given out according to the most inches lost over the course of the challenge! This is an excellent motivator and keeps me very accountable!

To be honest, I just passed my biggest obstacle of the month - my birthday! While I managed to avoid the bad for me carb-y foods, I think I ate too much of the good-for-me foods. Oy.

Now that the three birthday related events are over, I need to get cracking on the BtcCW challenge! I'm behind. And you can bet there's no way I'm going to let myself miss my goals. So getting in enough exercise everyday to meet my goal is probably going to be my biggest challenge/obstacle.

        2. Then I want you to discuss how you will take an active role in overcoming the obstacle(s) to continue on your road to success!
Well, there are 12 days left to this month. I have 325 minutes still to accumulate. (Oy!) If I exercise 10 of those 12 days, at about 30 minutes a day, I'll make it. I can do that! That seems more than reasonable.

And it starts this evening - TheHusband and I are going bowling! [I can't wait for winter so we can start going SKATING!]

        3. Also, I need to know, if you have are from a foreign nation (well foreign to the US), what holidays will you be celebrating from here until December 31? Wannabe reminded me that Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving October 10, as an example.
Well, my first wedding anniversary is on October 3rd. There is wedding cake (carrot cake) in the freezer. I'm not too sure how I want to deal with that yet.

There's Thanksgiving in the middle of October (I too am a Canuck).

Halloween on October 31st. I CAN'T WAIT to carve pumpkins and put together my costume!!! [I've never been a halloween candy person - but the pumpkins and the costumes on the other hand...]

Christmas, Boxing Day, & New Years, otherwise. I'm not worried about any of these events, to be honest. I'm kinda concerned about all the Christmas baking my mother does, and the Christmas Eve dinner at my aunt's that's full of fried/breaded foods... but I'm entirely ready to be prepared for all of that and armed with my own legal additions or with an already full belly of legal foods before I arrive! Yep.

Hey all! I'm so glad to see that everyone is doing peachy! I'm feeling pretty darn awesome. I'm down 2 lbs and I just got back from the gym. I've been doing great on re-induction and I'm pretty motivated. I have a goal within a goal. I want to lose 20 lbs by Halloween and I'm gonna do it too!

So, what's everyone dressing up as for Halloween? I have a huge Halloween party I'm going to and I'm looking for ideas! It's not easy finding plus size costumes. Haha Last year, I was a witch and I had a blast putting that costume together. But this year... I have no ideas. Whaddaya you guys think? Help me!

How about go as a Pole dancer? Dress up as someone Polish and do the polka. If you can borrow someone's accordion, that just would sweeten the deal.

Planning meals while closing on a house and handling all its logistics. Possibly the Hurricane hiting Galveston/Houston on Saturday? Both not a good combination!

Plan and prepare meals in advance and refrigerate to be able to grab and go. Take swimming classes! J/K

The scale hasn't moved for me this week! I have been a bit sluggish the last few days, due to a shoulder injury, so I'm gonna head off to the gym and do the treadmill and bike, just to keep the cardio up! Maybe the scale will be nicer to me by the weekend!!! I'm also going to get rid of the rest of those nuts I have been eating, maybe just a little too much of.

{{{Cruisergal}}} I'm so sorry to hear about your shoulder! Owie! You know, nuts REALLY slowed me down, partially due to all the salt. That and I think that due to my body hating molds and yeasts, it exascerbates some of those issues.

                        You are doing great!!!

THx Cleo, been applying a heating pad to my shoulder, and it feels nice when its on! I've gotten rid of the nuts in the house, don't want to be tempted! Funny but I never real ate nuts before, and now all of a sudden in the last couple of weeks, seem to have gotten hooked on them....well no more nuts for me!!! Had a good workout at the gym, doing mainly cardio stuff, treadmill & bike. Hopefully the lbs will drop again, gotta get to onederland!!!!
