  • ICES CHALLENGE Cheat Free/Exercise Oct 12th-Nov12th

    So another Month another Challenge. It seems as though it has gone by so very fast.

    This Month we are going to stay on Extended induction, and really concentrate of exercise and staying CHEAT FREE. This is gunna be a huge challenge for all of you who have trouble staying on track. I am going to see about designing a cheat free thingie for us that go cheat free this month so you can all display that I think it's a great modivation for everyone.

    We need to work together to stay Cheat free in order for each of us to get rid of the SUGAR MONSTERS.

    Basically the ICES CHALLENGE was started By Myself and Yoly 2 months ago. We needed to become accountable to ourselves and the challenge really has helped in that aspect. We decided between ourselves to give up things that we felt were holding us BACK and basically that's what we did. I guess you can say we broke the ICE and were able to break our addictions to cream, the scale, pop, coffee, what have you whatever is holding you back from where you want to be THAT'S where ICES comes in it can be one thing or a bunch of things.

    Now one really important thing with Atkins is EXERCISE and we really want you to move your body try and Pledge at least 3 days of exercise no matter what we really want you to move you body and start to reshape you into an newer better healthier you.

    This Month I will not weigh till November 1st, I will take my vitamins, I will exercise 5 days per week, I will not use cream as a substitute for candy (again). I will also pledge to myself that I will break this training plateau I am having with my marathon training seems I have a mental block and that needs to go, I am one determined person and this is aggrivating and causeing me a lot of mental anguish so I need to pass this barrier asd I am sure many of you need to break your own barriers.

    I am hoping for a great challenge so lets all get to it and Do great.

    OK, so today I am sooo tired I feel like falling into a hole my body is just not loving me LOL. I will be running today even know I have this nastie blister on my foot I should have drained it the other day but I never. My feet have shrunk and my socks are too big LOL. Go figure so I really need to get new socks NUTS hey.

    So any how I thought I better be the first to post in our new thread YAY for everyone.

          Yeaaah! A fresh, new board!!! Good Job on it too!

          I pledge to NOT CHEAT!!! For this entire month, and everyone thereafter! I also pledge to exercise atleast 3 days a week. The hardest part will be to stay cheat free, it's been a bad month. Hopefully this one will be better. I'm at 245 today so I hope to be 240 by halloween, because i've been losing rather quickly but I dont want to get my hopes up. So I would like to be 235 by the end of this challenge..............I HOPE I HOPE I HOPE!!!

          NO CHEATING!!!!
          You guys better knock me into place if I do!

              The new topic looks great! I really appreciate all that you do for on here Sarah, just wanted you to know. Also I love the graphic, I am gonna work really hard so that I get to put that on my siggy at the end of the month.

              This month I will be absolutly cheat free, I will do strict induction as per specified by Dr. A for 2 full weeks and then move into extended induction. I will take my supplements daily and drink all of my water, at least 100 oz. per day. I pledge to do at least 5 days of excercise this month (holy cow, I can't believe I just committed to that) and I will not weigh in until the day after my period, then I won't weigh in for an entire month after that.

              My goals for this month are pretty much what they have been for the past two months but I want to add something a little different this time around. During the first month I lost 7 pounds working super hard, this past month I didn't lose that much so my goal is to lose 7 pounds by the 12th. I want to be at that level of diligence and effort.

                Ok, ladies so I weighed in this morning and I lost 4 pounds this month. It's not as good as my first month on ICES but I really feel that it is pretty good considering all the turmoil that I had to go through. When I compare my 4 pound loss of this past challenge to the 1 pound loss I was experiencing a few months ago I am pretty pleased with my results. However, next month I want to lose at least 7 pounds, not so much because of the weight loss but because I want to be at that level of diligence and commitment.

                Another goal I forgot to post is that I will use fitday everyday, I will go back to my spreadsheets and run my numbers every night, it really helped me to stay focused.

                  YAY Yoly and Speedy I am glad that you are committed ever so much more to this Month I won't know my results for the month till the 1st so I will post my weigh in then all right if It's ok with you all. I don't wanna way right now I know I am sooo bloated my ankles are swollen and my belly is too so I know I would most likely be dissappointed so 16 more days and I will weight. HORRAY.

                  I am glad you like the graphic took me a bit to figure out my program but, I sure think it's a real awesome graphic for used ICERS LOL.

                  I know that you all appreciate what I do I don't work out of the home so it's fair that I do it you all have to be gone all the time. I do find time here and there when my kids are good so it's all right.

                  I did my 1 hour of cardio I started doing fartleks I don't know if I spelled it right but, HOLLY crap HARD oh, if this doesn't push me to that next level nothing will. Basically you run at your easy pace then crank it fast as you can go I went 3 minutes drop it back to slow till you recover then crank it again. I was dripping and my legs hurt YUCK. BUT I DID IT!!!! YAY gotta be proud.

                  OH OH I got groceries last night bought a whole pile of veggies so I ahve that and lots more salmon Boy do I love that stuff. LOL. Oh, crap should have got some onions oh well. Budget is really tight so I couldn't buy too much but,, at least I ahve some food YAY. SO long as I have some steak, eggs and salmon and veggies I am set LMAO. Craziness.

                    Hey, glad to hear you got to the store. Steak sounds really yummy, in fact I think I'll have that tonite, with some sauteed mushrooms on the side. Deeeelicious. I am totally hungry now, I'm gonna go grab a snack.

                      OK girls- you know I am in- NO CHEATING for me, and cut back on tomatoes I think I have been eating too many. also, exercising 3 days a week at least. No more low carb candies! Tired today, I think I am going to head to bed early- I have to be to work at 8. ick! talk atchall later~!

                        morning everyone. im stuck.

                        i want to go down south for the weekend so i can see my brother & sister and all there kids go trick-or-treating but my boyfriend had a change in his schedule and is working today. and I would hate driving 2 hours down there all by myself (with my chihuahua) and then driving all the way back home at night (when everything is finished) i dont know what to do!!! i really wanna go though. my nephew is going to be riding a horse, he has to wear this helmet that is way to huge for him, his little heads just flops around, so cute. ok i think im gonna go. i need to watch them get all dressed up.
                        another thing though--my parents were supposed to go too, but my dad has to work also. so then my mom and me were going to go. but my brother and my mom got into a fight and arent talking now. so she didnt want to go down there. BUT she also asked me if i wanted to go to a flea market with her today (she cant stand to be alone) and i dont want her to be! ohhh geeeez!! what to do what to do......

                          Oh, my I'm not sure what to tell you Speedy that's a long drive but, I can honestly say I have done it. Is there any way you could stay overnight and drive back in the morning?? HMMM I don't know it sounds like you really want to go so then I think you should go it sounds important to you and in that case put you first. I can understand not wanting to drive late but, mayeb like I said you could say over night or somehting.

                            Well i decided that i would just stay home. Because I was about to leave and my mom called me. She didnt know i planned on going and i didnt tell her, but she asked me if i wanted to go shopping with her and all this, and i told her no because i was sick (i really am) and she said ok. so i didnt want her to find out that i went and get mad or think that she did something. so im just going to stay home. i have a million things to do anyway.
