    Rikki,

So you have had a few diet sodas, you know that you aren't drinking the "real" stuff and that is awesome. Three servings of Splenda is allowed even for newbies like me so you are still fine.

Resist the scale girl! I had to put it away because it was creeping up as I began to exercise more and more. Just wait and weight after TOM has come and gone. No reason to get down over something you body has to do.

You are my inspiration so you better not get down on yourself. I need you too much for you to do that!

I may not weigh tomorrow- who am I kidding- I will too, and I will NOT get upset if it is higher. I have a feeling it will be. I think I had too much sodium tonight, plus tom is coming.... ick!

        Rikki,

You can do it! I am imitating Arnold S. now, but not doing a good job of it. Off to grade some essays.

Good Morning Everyone! I just got done with TJ20 and if I have time between jobs I am going to do some more walking today... I am afraid if I take a rest day with my exercise it will be as bad as taking a cheat day with my woe. If I miss it once it may take me a while to get back on the wagon ya know? Oh well. I will keep it up for now!!! Just had an egg with 2 sliced turkey bacon. yum, normally I like to add veggies to the egg but didn't really have any I thought sounded good this morning. If I would have thought of it I could have used some of teh leftover eggplant. but that would have taken longer to cook- oh well...

How is everyone doing today? Have you been getting your water in? exercise? check in with us!

Mary- How was your trip? Was the planeride ok on the way back?! We missed you!

Is it too late to join this challenge? I am new to ADBB, but have this gym membership, and need to be making the best of it. Yesterday, I was too depressed to leave the house and face the Twigchicks and Musclemen at Gold's, but I did do some of what I call cardioTV (just moving nonstop for the first or last 20min of whatever I happen to be watching on TV (usually the Food Network haha) and then a bunch-a-crunches (like 100) and squats.

Anyway, I have similar goals to many on this thread, and am looking for support. Day 6 of induction. Started @250. Decided not to weigh until two weeks are up- the first three days I weighed like every ten minutes, and that was weird and depressing - SO my goal is 15lbs by Thanksgiving. At 235, I should be able to squeeze back into an 18. We will be going to my husband's family in NY, and I wan't to have the ball really rolling, so I am not tempted to give up.

PS, Loser4life, I saw a guy make low-carb green bean casserole on the foodchannel and he dipped sliced onions in soyflour seasoned with garlic/salt/pepper and baked them to a crisp in the oven for the topper. I plan on making it on Turkeyday, too.

                  Mush,

Soyflour is not accepted on the induction phase of the plan or until the much later rungs so this year I am afraid you shouldn't make it.

You are more than welcome to join us here. You should probably check out the journals forums and the century club too. What are some of your goals and reasons for losing weight?

When I met my husband in Key West almost two years ago, I weighed about 180 and could wear his pants. After struggling with weight my whole life, I thought I had somehow finally beaten it for good. His acceptance of me, and my pregnancy gave me this license to eat. Now that my daughter is 10 months old, I am stuck gaining and losing the same 10lbs. No matter that my husband thinks I am all hot and sexy @250, I just can't feel that way. I'm doing it for me this time... and can't wait to be back into a men's 34/34...hopefully by Matt's birthday, which is March 12. I want to be able to dance for him, and look good doing it. He would love it if I would do it now, but I am too embarrassed and ashamed to even let him see me naked.

Besides just the weight loss, my major goal is to get in shape. I want to be at my optimum health by age 35. I'll be 33 in January. Though I have gained and lost hundreds of pound in my lifetime, I've never been truly in shape. I just want to challenge myself to reshape my whole life...quit smoking, start writing that novel, be unafraid of wearing a bathing suit (i live across the street from the beach and NEVER go), etc.

Thanks for wecoming me, and for the advice about the bean casserole. Mostly I want to nake it for my father-in-law - he lost 30lbs on Atkins and is in the maintenance phase.

                        Mush,

Then it would work wonderfully for him in his maintenance. I think you have some very good reasons for losing the weight. I am about where you are now...260 so we can lose this together if you want.

You could use parmesan cheese instead of flour for the onions and I bet that would be good- it is induction friendly too!!!
