    Well I didn't exercise today and ate a little too much. Arghh!! Okay, tomorrow me and my sister are going to the Tapia national park mountain area and we are going to hike our butts off!! Hopefully I won't eat too much tomorrow either. I'm starting to get really annoyed with myself, I havent' lost anything all december!!!!!

      Good-morning ladies,

      Rikki- Thank you for the encourangment.....Well I do try to stay off the scale and only weigh myself once a week, but sometimes just can't help myself. hehehehe

      Mary, Those pictures were wonderful.......that mystery spot looked really cool. Thank you for sharing them.

      Well I'm doing good ....yesterday was day 14 of induction and now I'm doing extended. Drinking all my water and exercising 1 hour a day, If someone told me I would be getting up at 5:30am to exercise I would def. say they needed their head examined........seems I get up early and bed early, total change from my normal schedule. I felt like I had a big appetite yesterday though ...

      B- sausage and cheese omelet
      S-2 oz pork rinds
      L-4 oz chicken and skin, 1/2 cup cukes, 1/2 tsp ranch
      D-3 oz pepperoni, 1 oz cheddar, 1 cup red pepper, 1 oz. cream cheese, 1 cup romaine lettuce, and 1/3 of a teaspoon of ranch

      I'm very surprised I'm not bored with the food yet......I actually enjoy every meal. lol

        Chrissy- I have been doing atkins a long time and I am not bored with the food... sometimes you will think you are getting bored with it but there are sooo many things tyou can eat, you just have to dig around for recipes sometimes!
        Mary- Thanks for sharingyour pics! They are beautiful!

        Yesterday I did ok, I had quiche for breakfast, hot wings and a side salad for lunch, and a peice of ham and a peice of turkey for dinner, everything at that party was loaded with carbs!!! Oh well, I did drinka couple beers and a big glass of jim and diet.... oh well... my christmas party is tonight and I have sooo much to do today!!!!!

          Chrissy: you are doing great, welcome to the wonderful world of extended induction!!

          I have been kind of stuck at 194 for a while, but it's better then gaining. Kind of sad though, thinking about where I "should" be if I had been exercising. Well, my sister and I went hiking on Monday and today for an hour and a half or so in some really pretty areas. Today I went to a place called "Point Dume", it was hiking up a cliff along the ocean. It was so pretty, and we saw dolphins too!! It's so nice to have someone to hike with, but she leaves on sunday darnit!! Then it will be back to the boring old treadmill...

            Rikki, Yup I've been digging around the recipe forums and lindas low carb recipes.........Geeesh there is plenty of assortment to keep me from getting bored. Actually right now on extended induction, trying to keep it easy. I hope you made it through the x-mas party last night.....this time of year is sooooo hard with all the parties.

            Mary, Thank-you...glad to be here. A question for you Mary......do you think exercise takes more pounds off? I was wondering that myself.......I have been exercising everyday for an hour but its only been a couple weeks for me......so I really dont have anything to compare it to, to know if it does or not. I never exercised in past.......actually hate it, hate it, hate it......but doing it because I have to.

            Wednesday

            B-2 scrambled with 3 sausage links
            L-good size hamburger, 1 cup of cukes and celery mixed, 1/2 tsp. ranch
            S- 2 cups steamed broccoli with a pat of butter and sea salt (wasn't that hungry cause had late lunch)

            I'm keeping away from cream, tomatoes, and OMG......a cup of brussel spouts were 13g in carbs. in fitday.....how can that be? I'm staying away from that. Also today was first day without cheese.......I think I'm becoming addicted to cheese (kinda like my sweets) and dont want it to stall my weight loss. I was in a HORRIBLE mood today, snapping at everyone , just really bitchy, Only thing I can think of different is no cheese today. hehehehe wondering if you get withdrawls from cheese. Hoping tomorrow is a better day.

              Mary- I wish I could go hiking with you that would be sooo fun!!! don't be too sad about your 194, I can't seem to stay in onederland! sheesh- I haven't weighed though, so maybe i am now...I doubt it though, I have been a MAJOR BINGE EATER LATELY!!!!!!!!!!!! gggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

                Yes yes and yes!!!!!! At the beginning of atkins, most people usually lose really easily with or without exercise, but as you continue it for a while, exercise makes a huge difference!! My exercise has been crap for this month, and I've pretty much plateau'ed.. When I exercise really hard I've lost as much as 3-5 pounds in one week before!! (Not every week, but it has happened!). The fact that you 've been exercising every day for an hour is amazing, I'm really impressed!!!!

                You'd think after 7 months exercising would be second nature for me.. but I still have to push myself really hard to do even a little. I'm glad you asked me that question, because it made me think about how little I've been doing this month and how it's affected my weightloss.. I think I'll go put my workout shoes on right now and try to get a little exercise in this morning

                  I wonder if there's something in the air these days, because I've been having the same problem with binge eating and it has been so frustrating!! I've been doing okay since Sunday though. If I can just make it to the end of December with no more binges and get a little exercise in ...maybe I can actually lose something this stupid month!!

                  I forgot to mention the cheese thing in my last post, I think it has been a part of the problem for me too!! That's why last week I went without cheddar cheese for a while to see how it made me feel. I ate the blander cheese, but not the cheddar, because I LOVE cheddar.. I think not eating it for a while helped me get some of my cravings under control. I've been eating it again lately, but have been really careful not to overdo it.

                  Maybe we should have another challenge-within-a-challenge to really limit the portions of our cheese or be careful about cheese or something??


                  Oh and one thing I'll say in my favor though.. My family was putting together gingebread houses yesterday.. you know, icing.. sugar candy.. candy bars.. marhsmellows.. you name it and it was on the table!!! I was helping my sister put her house together, I didn't eat a single bite of anything!! there was icing and frosting on my hands and I was using things like kitkats and m&m's for decorating, but I didn't eat a single piece!! I just pretended it was all fake lol. Ack it was torture though, I recommend avoiding gingerbread house parties while on atkins if you can lol!!

                      OK- I am a freakin Binge eater from HEL* I am awful! I can't stop!!!! I started tom today and normally I can tell when he is coming because I eat so much the week before, but it usually has stopped when he gets here, not this friggin month!!! I am sooo irritated... I started today and weighed in at 204. MAN THAT SUCKS.
                      I have got to get a grip on myself!!! I am sooooooo sabotaging myselfa nd knowingly so!!!!! arrhhhgggghhhhhhh..... Why do I keep sonig this to myself? why do I get under 200 and insist on getting back over it? hmmmm, why????? why why why why why!!!!! I am honestly driving myself insane!!!!! I am eating legal foods but WAY WAY WAY too much of them~!~~~~~~ ok, I will stop bi*chin, I have got to get muself under control, no one can do it but me! I must figure out what the heck is going on with ME~!!

                        Mary- Thank-you that was very helpful for me........and I will prob. be like you no matter how much time exercising I wont get use to it. Omg......you are a strong lady to make it through making gingerbread houses and not take a lick or a tiny weeny taste.......Nope I'm planting my fanny right here cause I wouldn't be so strong so no holiday parties for me yet. I'll do a cheese pledge with you......mine will be no cheese for a week (lol, have to be realistic).......today is day two just about killed me. I love ALLLL cheese......its hard when my frig. is packed.

                        Rikki- (((Big hug's))) I can sooo relate......thats why I'm here because I tend to binge (on bad food or good food),I have no concept of portion control or realization that food will always be here I dont have to eat everything in one day. TOM too so prob. most of that is water weight.......I'm hoping tomorrow will be better for you! To lose over 50lbs. you are an inspiration.

                        Hey.....I'm glad the whooshie fairy visited.......spread that dust all around, cause tomorrow is weigh in and I've been a good girl.

                          Thanks- I am just mad, didn't weigh in today because of yesterday's weigh in... sometime next week... I may start going daily again, who knows..... OK- I am in for the cheese, however, I am going to go for 1oz/day if any... I don't wanna cut it out completely, but I usually eat more cheese than 1oz! I usually eat it with almost every meal!

                          I also had a sprinkle already on my quiche slice this morning.... OK- off to work. This WILL be a better day for me! It has to be~!!!

                            OK- I have been thinking about this. I am NOT changing my ticker to say over 200 pounds ever ever ever again!!!!! I will get my @ss in gear and change- I will stop binging, will eat the foods that I am supposed to in the portions I am supposed to. I will find my book tonight, if I can't do that I will buy a new one this weekend!!!!! I will drink my water and lots of it.... I will remember to take my supplements!!!!!!!! I will get off my lazy @ss and exercise at least 5 days per week- and I am not counting misc. stuff for exercise anymore, it must only be a video, walking(not while shopping or heavy cleaning). I m going to do this. I don't know what the heck I am thinking stopping myself from being under 200lbs, but I am goign to stop sabotaging myself if it kills me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                            OK, I will stop ranting now... I will check back in later- yall better keep me in check!!! Thats what we are here for right and I expect to see Chrissy has stepped away from the cheese- and that Mary hasn't eaten any cheddar!!!!!(or at least not much)

                              Rikki- Wow love your second post, yup I agree, No excuses just "DO IT" it's easy to rationalize or become lazy.

                              Well Dec. 16th I did HORRIBLE.........I failed the cheese challenge (had 3oz) and I ate alot of food that day. all of it was induction legal food but wayyyyyyyy more food then I needed. Did exercise and drink my water.

                              Dec. 17th.....A better day as far as no binging but had cheese again.
                              B-ham/red pepper/cheese omelet
                              S-pork rinds 2 oz
                              L-1 cup tuna with mayo 1 oz cheddar
                              D- 8 pieces pepperoni (sand. sized), 1 oz gouda cheese, 3 hard boiled eggs
                              (YUP.......i know BAD with the veggies, and I love veggies. I will try to be better tomorrow)

                              Dec. 18
                              B-red pepper/sausage/cheese omelet

                              I thought this diet"WOE" was suppose to supress your hunger........grrrrr I'm still hungry and feel I can eat way more then I already am, I soooo can't wait til my appetite is supressed.

                              As I'm writing this I'm thinking hmmm what can I have to eat........even though I ate at 9am and its 11:30am. Also I have to admit I'm a failure at the cheese challenge.......I dont think I'm ready to give it up. I will try to stay within the 3oz a day.......
