    Hey guys!! Hope all is well! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, my mom and other sister visited and we all went to disneyland and stayed at a hotel for two nights. I survived in tact at disney - I did awesome! It's so weird because I'm either ON or OFF with this wol - there seems to be no in between. When I'm really doing well nothing seems to phase me!! We pretty much speed walked all over the parks so I'm hoping that that was good enough exercise for the past few days. Haven't had a chance to weigh myself, hopefully tomorrow the scale will be kind to me.

    I think for my cheese challenge, I'll allow myself 2 oz of cheddar cheese and 1 oz of swiss cheese a day, and that's it. That'll be good for the dishes I like to make. If I find myself still stalling, I will revise that a bit.

    Well, I'm curious to see what the scale says tomorrow to see how I did this weekend finding miscellaneous atkins food around disneyland. I'll let you know.

      Well, I am curious to see what your scales say as well!!!Mine sucks! LOL... I haven't weighed today nor do I plan too.. I think I will weigh in on Friday.... maybe...I am tired of tormenting myself!
      Well, no workout so far, maybe tonight. Depends on what time I get home from work- I have a perm scheduled at 3:30- so hopefully I will be done by 5:30... it shouldn't take me too long...then if I get that done than maybe just maybe I can get riu in before BF gats home.... We will see! No time this morning since I laid back down when I should've exercised!

      Hope yall are well!

      So far this morning- quiche with mush, pepper, olives, tomatoes, and canadian bacon- yummy!

        I know what you mean about being tired of tormenting yourself!!! I think we all need a little break from the scale now and again!!

        Speaking of tormenting myself, I am so angry!!! The scale was like 193.9 today, which means I gained a little some where along the way, wtf!! So mad, I did sooo well!! That's it I am SO SICK of 194!!! I am going to exercise and exercise and exercise today!!! Forget about cleaning and forget about christmas shopping, I am going to be an exercise demon today!!!

        I am so sick of being 194 you have no idea!!!!! argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

        Okay I am going to go treadmill in a little while, and I am going to go to curves before noon. I refuse to be 194 ever again!!!

          Hey there.....Well I think it would be sooo much easier for me if atkins said cheese wasn't allowed. It seems I'm having the biggest trouble trying to stay away from that.....I eat it at every meal........every meal, that's so sad. I weighed and measured myself sat. I am 195 now so I lost a whopping 1 lb. but I did manage to lose 3 1/2 inches. 1 inch from belly, 1 from hips, 1 from under breast, half on arms........so all good places to lose.

          Mary- Work it, I'll be crossing my fingers that you break that 194 curse......here's hoping for a solid 192/191

          Rikki- mmmm that quiche sounds delish....never thought of putting olives in it. Good vibes are sent your way Rikki!!!!!

          Today is my third week ......everyone seems to say weight loss slows down on that week, so I shall wait and see. I am exercising an hour every day. My appetite seems to be growing.

          B- red pepper/ham/cheese omelet
          S- 1 oz pork rinds with splenda and cinn. sprinkled on it
          L- (10 oz or so) huge burger with boursin cheese and american on top, 1/2 cup red pepper, 3 slices small tomatoe

          D- prob. another burger with lettuce and ranch

            Way to go on losing all those inches and getting down to 195, every pound counts!!! Yeah third week is almost always a let-down, but don't worry it DOES pick up again afterwards, so just plow right past the third week, you are doing great!!


            Scale said 193.5 today. I am still mad about the whole thing. I feel like I am retaining water though for some reason, it should have gone down more. I am hoping for a big whoosh sometime soon. Better drink my water today My legs are a little sore from exercising yesterday but I'm going to try to push past that and exercise again for an hour today. I'll do a half hour this morning and a half hour later today.

                    Rikki....that is wonderful 7lbs AND 16 inches....Wooo Hooo for you! I hope I do that well on the wec as you have done! Hope you feel better!

                    Mary....Yes I have read that alot on these boards about the slow third week. Also I'm not that experienced to exercise a full hour at a time so usually do a half hour in am and half hour in afternoon........same results (I hope). Hoping you get that big Whooshie!

                    Me......this hasn't been my best week as far as food goes. I haven't had any illegal food, I can do just as much damage to my waist with legal atkins food. I'm hoping and praying that my eating habits change.......I ate too much to list today started off with 4 boiled eggs. Although pretty proud of myself because there is christmas chocolate and cookies in the house and I haven't gone for them.


                    What are your plans for Christmas......are you doing the cooking or are you going to family? I'm def. the type who needs a plan or I'll end up in trouble.
                    I'm doing the cooking and I'm cooking a ham, broccolini, salad (I'm making stuff for my family but not much we have a small family..... cinn. apples, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, orange rolls, and I'm making one large desert chocolate cream pie and pudding.......I'm not making all kinds of crazy things to where I'll be too tempted. I told them we are not focusing on the food this holiday ) Well thats my plan of action.......now for me to stick to it!

                      Rikki; 7 pounds is awesome, congrats!! I hope you start feeling better soon. I'm kind of in the same boat - I don't think I'll feel better until I see a new number on the scale lol.

                      You're both doing great!!

                      I did a half hour of xbox fitness this morning and 40 minutes of curves this evening. I was sore in the morning and I'm really sore now. But darnit I want to get out of the 190's and am sick of my excuses!! I did okay for food - I had about 1,200 calories and 8 carbs I think. Spaced pretty evenly throughout the day. I feel guilty though, like I cheated, I don't know why. Argh I am going crazy lol!

                        I know what you mean Mary, it stinks when the scale won't move.... However, my inches are going down even though the scale hasn't.... What is xbox fitness?
                        Chrissy- you are doing great girl, hang in there!!!! I knwo what you mean about eating the right way and still sabotaging yourself, I do it all too often!!!! We are going to my moms for Christmas, and tehn the 26th we are flying to go visit his relatives... we will be gone until Jan2... I hope I can survive without ADBB for a week!!! yikes!

                          It's a video game on the xbox called "yourself fitness" - kind of like an interactive aerobic video, it's pretty cool. You can set your goals, your workout duration, the type of workout you want (cardio, upper body strength, flexibility, etc.),, the music type, etc. I get a pretty good workout using it.

                          I'm sure you'll do great while your away!! And congrats on losing inches... I've been kind of feeling the same way, like I feel a little skinnier but the scale won't budge. But I have no idea if that's true or not, I dont' know. Maybe the 190's are a point of plateau?? It's like my body just coasted until around 210, then I fought really hard to get under 200..and now my body is just like "i'll hang out here for a while".... I don't know. I did sooo well yesterday and I'm still 193.5 ish!! I got used to seeing the scale move down everyday.. Maybe that was just because I had a lot more to lose.

                          It is very frustrating.. If I wasn't trying to look ok for my wedding I would be fine with a slow loss.. but I really want to be under 160 by then.. Only four months to go

                            Rikki- yup I think you will do fine while your away.

                            I soooooooo wanna weigh myself or measure myself but I don't want to get discouraged. I measured myself last friday (I think) .........how often do you girls measure yourself. I know, I know, it takes time for weight to leave........I guess i'm into instant gratification, that's what got me here in the first place. Maybe I'll hold off till tomorrow or till monday.

                            Doing ok, eating slowed down yesterday.......not because I wasn't wanting it.

                              You could always get it "for him" for christmas and then conveniently borrow it while he's not around
                              I forgot to mention too, if you own a step, hand weights, or one of those balance ball thingies, you can use them in the game.

                              I don't measure myself very often, I don't seem to be very good at it. I can measure myself five times in a row and get completely different results each time, so I mostly stick with the scale. If I feel like I've lost a lot of inches or have gone down a pant size, I'll measure myself out of curiosity. But I know a lot of people who swear by the tape measure! At Curves, you can get your measurements taken by the fitness instructer there about every 6 weeks. Not sure if that's arbitrary or not. Also, never measure yourself after you exercise, as your muscles may swell up a little from the workout.

                              Good job on eating less!! It's really a conscious decision for a while, eventually on atkins it does get easier.

                              Though, I don't think it will ever be second nature for me, I constantly have to moniter every decision I make regarding food, but it IS much easier then it used to be. I still have a hard time when I'm stressed out though.. Whenever I'm the least bit stressed my first impulse is to rush for the fridge... I've had to come to terms with the fact that this will be a lifelong struggle for me, I will never be "cured" of my desire to overeat, but at least atkins gives me a fighting edge!!

                              I feel I am doing much better the past few days. I'm down to 193, it's not down by a lot, but it is down. I feel my eating has been more in control lately and I've been exercising quite a bit the past few days.. I had a lot of good excuses that could have stopped me from exercising, but I pushed past them and did it anyways, and was better off for it . I think I MAY have gotten some of my momentum back.. I hope!! I am just going to try to lose as much as possible in the next four months and see where I end up.. then move on to the OWL rungs when I get back from my honeymoon.

                              So in addition to feeling good about my weightloss again, I found out all three of my teachers have sent off their letters of recommendation for me for graduate school. So I think my applications are complete, which means that now I can just sit back and see if I get rejected or not lol. I'm just happy they sent the letters of recommendations, I had no idea how much teachers could procrastinate.. the deadline is january first and they sent them off today!!!

                              Anyway, I should go work on my christmas gifts now instead of babbling on. (I'm making gifts this year instead of buying them).

                                Hey girls- Yall are tooo awesome....!!! I am doing ok, eating a bunch as usual--- I have decided not to get too mad at myself though, I mean, its the holidays- no excuse but the stress is causing me to be a worry wart! Oh well..... It will be time to relax in a couple of weeks! Chrissy, I usually measure every 2-4 weeks... I weigh whenever I feel like it!!!! Not much here lately!!!!
                                Mary-way to go on 193... I will catch up to you... it may be after the holidays but I will do it!!!!I have just been majorly slacking... makes me mad because I was doing soooo well with working out and loggin everything!!!! grrrrrr
