    Re: OT:FlyLady Challenge/January

Okay....I have no zone mission today as yahoo keeps bouncing me and I missed it. I don't know if anyone else is here or not anyway...so it probably doesn't matter. However...if anyone else is here and still trying....let's change up the challenge a bit. Instead of the babysteps and the zone missions we can do TADO's and TADA's.

What's that, you say??? You can list what you want to accomplish today (TADO) and what you did accomplish today (TADA) , you can post your TADO first thing of the day and the TADA last at night or you can do both last at night...or when they are done or whatever works for you. Anyone interested?

      I'm here...just behind (as usual)...

I like doing this, I just get side-tracked or behind in some of the tasks.

        Sounds good.

TADO today: Go through the 5...yes I said 5 junk drawers in the kitchen and through 1/2 of what's in them away. I can do it...the junk is not part of who I am...it's just junk. I will not let the junk control me....I will control it...right into the garbage.

Ok, here's a question. One of the things in the junk drawer is the little head of a doll. Would anyone keep that?

          Day 12

          Babystep
Check your Morning Routine in your Control Journal

Check your Before Bed Routine in your Control Journal

Keep the sticky notes up to help remind you to look at your Control
Journal. Can you believe that you have been FLYing for 12 days? I am so
proud of you! BabySteps will get you there.

You have your basic routine started and these are what you do for now. Do
not try to do too much too fast; you will just crash and burn. Continue
to take BabySteps to build your Control Journals. Do not allow your
perfectionism to take over. We are building our routines and our Control
Journals one habit at a time.

Today I want you to delete from your inbox all the emails from FlyLady.
Now don't cringe. They will all come back around and I write something
          new every day.

          Mission Zone
          Dear Friends:

Your mission for today is to fling your way underneath your sink.
Throw open those cabinet doors and start tossing all of the grocery
bags, empty cleaning product containers, the cleaning products that
you don't use, the old margarine and whipped topping containers that
you have shoved under there, you all know the things I am talking
about!! Toss, toss and toss some more!!

              Okay....here is Jan 13

Babystep (easy because it is the zone mission)
              Day 13

Check your Morning Routine in your Control Journal

Check your Before Bed Routine in your Control Journal

Today I want you to find one of Kelly's Missions and go and do it. They
are fast and easy! This is going to introduce you to how we break our
home into zones so that we never have to spring clean again.

              http://flylady.net/pages/FlightPlan_Missions.asp

Here is what we are doing so far. We are practicing our Morning
Routines, decluttering for 15 minutes a day and doing our Before Bed
              Routines.

              Zone Mission
              Dear Friends:

All week I have sent you into the fridge, the pantry, under the
sink.....so what is left? Ahhhhhh the FREEZER! Grab a bag and toss
those open boxes, the empty ice cream containers, the old whipped
toppings, and the unidentifiable items that are covered in freezer
burn. No guilt allowed here, you are to toss the items that you know
you do not need nor will you use!!

Be proud of yourselves this week, we have decluttered our kitchens
              one mission at a time!!

Hum...depends on if it were sentimental or not. If not or if I were saving it to make something out of it "one day", then I'd toss it.

LOL....if it were in my drawer it probably would have been because I had good intentions of fixing it. Just the past 4 months I have realized that they won't miss stuff like that...they will just pick something else to play with. Glad you tossed it!

Day 15 Check Your Control Journal Every Morning and Evening

You are starting on our third week of FLYing. Each day you are going to
your Control Journal and using your sticky notes to remind you along with
the reminders that you are getting in our inbox. Our habits are coming
along nicely and we are seeing changes in our attitudes and our homes.

On our new week of FLYing you are going to add Making your bed to your
morning routine. If you will do this as soon as your feet hit the floor
you are less likely to forget it.

TADA for yesterday. I managed to clean out all 6 junk drawers in the kitchen and have stuff left over to fill only 3 of the drawers. I think that's pretty darn good for someone who can't get rid of anything.

                            TADO for today
While I'm in the pitching mood, I'm going to tackle the junk boxes in the basement...you know, the boxes that never get unpacked after you move.

I've been MIA in this challenge for a week, so I signed up to get the email and start over again . I accomplished the first 2 days last time then ended up being gone for the next 2 days and got overwhelmed, so I'm starting again.....I cannot Believe how much email they send out! I even get one telling me to go to bed!!!!! Almost like having mama nag me to clean my sink and go to bed - lol! It's fun though! Brings back memories .

Wanna! I am so proud of you!! emptied 3 drawers! That is amazing! And going to tackle those boxes?? You rock!

Slimndown...don't worry..lots of us didn't keep up. Wanna and I are not following the zone missions to the T. But we are posting TADO's (what we want to accomplish for the day) and TADA's (what we did accomplish for the day) instead. It really doesn't matter as every bit makes a difference! Just ask Wanna and her 3 empty drawers!

Don't forget that you don't need to read everything if it gets too much. Just use the delete button. You will get to know which ones you don't have to scroll down for. I ignore the go to bed on but I do smile when I get the shoe reminder because they are usually on!
