      Re: Easter challenge?

Wanted to get on and post my weightloss (Sunday weigh in for me). I lost .8 lbs. I am not losing as much as I was hoping, but at least I am still losing.

I am struggling finding the time to get on the treadmil, but am still trying my best. I have just been so busy lately.... I know it is just an excuse...

I have met my goal of drinking my minimum of water since starting the challange. That is a big accomplishment for me.

      Hope everyone is doing great.

          Re: Easter challenge?

OK, I don't want to bow out of the challenge altogether because it's still early and leaving will be the excuse to seriously backslide. BUT. I seem to be eating just enough carbs, and not good ones, to maintain my current weight. I don't gain. I don't lose. I am frustrated. I can't seem to get out of the rut I am in.
Today is March 1st, first day of the AB Challenge, so I am off to do 100 crunches. I have to succeed at SOMETHING here!!!!!!!!!!! Aargh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Tomorrow I will begin for the five hundred thousandth time.

            Re: Easter challenge?

Could you eat veggies with more fiber to keep you full for longer, and to limit your carbs.....? Maybe that would help?
Broccoli is always good...and so is spinach....
Maybe you should report what you eat somewhere.....in that way, you are more accountable for what you eat? That always help for me, hvem I'm slowly going off plan....
Anyway....don't quit this challenge....Doesn't matter if you don't reach goal....We don't always do!

              Re: Easter challenge?

Elmark, thanks for telling me not to quit. I KNOW what I need to do, have done it before, know I will feel and look better, but am just not doing it - being a fat head I guess. I am eating a burger with pepperjack cheese right now and am going to fill up my water bottle. I have a series of meetings starting in a bit so I'll have to put off the bulk of my water intake till later on. I have been exercising and started the AB Challenge. Maybe if I stop obsessing about it I'll settle in and LOSE.........

                Re: Easter challenge?

I wanted to second Elmark. Yankee dont quit the challenge, we need you! You never know it may be the exercise that is keeping the weight steady. Instead of looking at is as "I haven't lost", look at it as "I haven't gained". To me that is more motivational. Also, have you measured yourself? Have you been losing any inches?

I have already come to the conculsion that I am most likely not going to make my weightloss goal for this challenge. However, I am still determined to get as close as possible. Plus, I have other goals on the challenge that I can still hit, even if it is not the weight one... death to the scales!

Hope you are having a better day today! Keep that Bunny in your siggy!

So far, so good today. I've exercised and had a great Atkins breakfast. Will have lunch soon, get on with the chores, and ignore that I can hear sugar whispering in my ear! Feels like I have a new lease on life today. Wonder why?

You and me both Elmark! I always wonder why this is so hard for me. I've managed to conquer most every other "problem" in my life - smoking, other things I shouldn't mention, you know. Why is THIS one so difficult?????

                                Re: Easter challenge?

Because, like someone already mentioned somewhere, you need food. You can't quit it all together....and finding the right balance is ****....
I think we have to find something to occupy ourselves with (mentally) besides food....But what? Food has been a major part of my life for many years....all my life....I have spend a lot of time thinking about eating, thinking about losing weight, thinking about eating more....I don't know what else to do....And I can't quit food entirely like you can with cigarettes..... (unless I wan't to eat/drink slim-fast all my life, since I don't consider it anything similar to food)
