    Re: Easter challenge?

It's so much easier when I'm working. Today I am home and I have tons of things to get done but the unscheduled day and easy access to food make it difficult. When the chores are done I'll put in a movie and work on some embroidery I'm doing for a customer. I need two clean hands for that so it should help!

I'm trying to get back into logging all my food in Journal Stats. If I write it down as I go along I'm more apt to be focused. I think. Yesterday went well. So far so good today. I can do this "just for today".

Teri....I find it easy too when I have to bring my lunch....that way I can plan what I'm having, eating at other poeples houses is the hardest....I slept at a friends house all weekend, and she brought some bread from the bakery in the morning, and she didn't have anything but bread in the house....Thank god it wasn't white bread!!!

        Re: Easter challenge?

Speaking of bread.... I made flax bread this morning. If I had to eat that even once a week I'd have to give up the Atkins WOE. Just terrible...

I didn't like the flaxbread I made either....I would much rather live without it....I like to make flax crackers sometimes though.....I can eat it with cheese on....

            Re: Easter challenge?

I just threw out what was left in the bag of flaxseed meal. I SO wanted to like this stuff. There's something called "carbdown" at the grocers - a low carb flatbread kind of a thing. They spoil quickly and don't have much flavor but they're waaaaay better than flax bread!!!
            I'm off to do crunches....

Is that flatbread induction legal??? It sounds good....

Uh, better do my crunches and push-ups too....

                Re: Easter challenge?

I assume it's not legal. If I ate it every day I'd be sure to find out but it's a once every few months thing and then only if I'm in that "zone" state, you know? I haven't bought it in so long I don't remember what the nutrition label says or what the ingredients are.

                  Re: Easter challenge?

Okay, I must be losing my mind (as well as the weight)... I swear I posted today, but for the life of me, I cannot find it....

Anyway, I gained this week .6 lbs. I know it was my doing, because I was eating too many new things. And I also ate too many carbs. They were all induction safe carbs, just too much of it. I was having a ton of cravings. It just makes me more driven to 'watch it' this week though.

Right now, I have been really hungry ...cravings, cravings, cravings,.... I am not sure what is triggering it, because I really haven't eaten any new food today (or yesterday), but they are still there. But, I am sticking to the diet..... Will power...will power...will power... (Is it like Dorthy on the Wizard of Oz, say it three times and I'll be there?! )

I so want to see me hit the 139 mark, just to get below the 140s!!!! Up is not the right direction!

Hope everyone is doing good today!

                    Re: Easter challenge?

Why don't we all make a pact, and commit to at least 14 days of clean induction starting right now? We have done it before, and we can do it again.....I don't want to keep cheating, it makes me feel lousy!

                              hey all!

sunflower-come on and join our challenge!!! you will def add a great dimension!!!!

lost- thats awesome good job!! you'll feel sooo great when u get there

losingitnow- don't let .6 lbs get you down we all fluctuate..you are doing great!! and as for cravings...one thing that really has helped me is that if i am home and have time to spare...i leave my house,go run errands, go to a park and read, go to the library, go meet a friend, or even just walk around the block...usally the craving is gone by the time i get back and since i couldn't access food i was able to resist!

if i can't go anywhere i go upstairs and brush my teeth...it sounds funny but it really works...you don't want to eat after u brush ur teeth and it makes me crave h20 sooo thats great

when i am out things are calling my name i try really hard to think about what outfit i'll wear when i am at goal...and how fun the beach will be....anythign but food...and it works

of course there are times that i have succumbed...but there are many more times that i haven't let craving get the best of me...
you are doing great!!! it'll get better

Elmark et all-induction sounds awesome...i am actually doing induction untill i lose my first 10lbs and then moving on to rung one for my second 10 and so on....so i am with you guys for the next 4lbs i have to lose!!!

of course if my w/l slows down signifigantly i will def be back on the induction track!

Yankee- I am soo glad you decided to stick with it!!! I KNOW how FRUSTRATING and DISHEARTENING stalls can be!! But I can tell you that if you stick with it and maybe do something to kick start ur loss (ie give up ur fav indulgence snack or add something to your exercise rutine) you’ll start seeing results soon enough!

I hope that everyone else is doing well!!! Easter is almost a month away!!!!
